Need Help from Chicagoland Poker Players

Hi all. I'm delving into freelance writing. I figured the easiest way to ease into it is writing about poker. I'd like to get together a list of folks in the greater Chicagoland area (possibly including Rockford and Milwaukee) who wouldn't mind letting me contact them for the occasional question(s) so I can keep my article local.

Please understand that I'm not doing this to spam the hell out of people; if you only feel comfortable letting me contact you through private messaging on this forum, that's fine!

Freelance work has been slow in Chicago. The economy sucks, and that means few people are hiring. I'm using this as a way to "expand my horizons" and get more into writing.

canada is too far away to be considered part of the areai guess. I am in B.C. but if thats too far away , i am ok with that. although you can always talk to to me online via PM if you have any questions about razz, if that is what you choose to talk about in your writing. Otherwise i can only answer questions about horse and freerolling, if that is of any intrest to you. I am by no means and expert, but i have been playing poker since 15 years of age (not online of course) so I have racked up some experience, won a few tournaments a have some credentials. Either way feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, but please keep it on either the subject fo razz or horse.

Not sure I can help you. I lived in Chicago from 1982 - 2003. Didn't play live there except for some friendly home games. I mean, there was nothing there legal except the occasional non-profit church games and the non-poker casinos in Wisconsin.
