The need for clarity...what form of Hold'em are you playing?

After being around here a couple years, I've noticed that people often post a question or a reply to a post without specifying what form of Hold'em they are playing. As experienced players know, tournament Hold'em is played very differently than a ring (cash) game. Similarly, No Limit Hold'em is played very differently than Limit Hold'em. Each of these forms of Hold'em are so different from others that they are virtually different games. So, how about we be more specific when asking questions or answering posts? It would certainly add clarity to the advice being asked for or given.

Agree with your point, but in most cases it seems pretty obvious which flavor of HE is being referenced, whether from the HH header, or the context of the question, or whatever. When it's not obvious, someone will usually ask.

I so agree with you depending what type of holdem game you are in and how far advanced in the game you are also is exetremely vital in makeing smart decesions and giveng out advice because so many factors and criteria factor into the decesion itself

While you've got a point, it's become pretty much standard in the past few years that hold 'em = no limit Texax hold 'em unless otherwise specified.

Can't say I've noticed a great deal misunderstandings as a result of that.

Agreed.
But often some one will ask a question relating to tournament with out specifying and will get answer relating to ring or vice versa

The only time this is really a problem is when it's a bad question anyway.
Something like "How to play AA?".
