Hey all.

I have a safe bankroll. $200 and I play $5 9 top sng and do well in them. When I do go on a bad run I increase stakes to try to make up for what I lost. I need to stop increasing the stakes I play when I start losing. Have any of you got any tips or advice

Any help would be appericated

When you feel the need to do this just stop playing poker. Take a break, around a few hours more or less depending on you. Eat, watch TV, take a nap, ect.

I suggest eating and drinking something healthy, brain food such as bananahs, peanuts (peanut butter), V8 juice, ect.

Uhm, don't do it

+1.

It' tempting to take a risk with a big chunk to try to get it all back-I've made that mistake. But when you lose a bunch at once you end up feeling worse and try to do it again until you end up with your whole BR on one table. It's just better to drop your stakes and start at a lower level.

stop chasing lost money and learn 'bankroll management'. It'll make that $200 last longer without goin broke or chasing lost $$$.

I share your pain osub I do the same thing and still do the same thing it'll make you lose everything you got. I still have trouble just cooling off my advice is just keep doing what you are doing and just be patience everyone will have bad luck in poker don't try to increase the stakes to make up for what you have lost just play the same controlled poker you've been playing before hopefully your luck will turn around and you'll be profitable again. If you are having a hard time doing this just decrease stakes or maybe just take a day off.

I struggle with chasing after lost money, playing too aggressive when on bad run of luck, etc; I think the key is to just stop playing for awhile. I suggest taking at least a day off.

this is probably one of the biggest mistakes players make.....the best thing to do is just to, take a break, and comeback refreshed and thinking clearly.
