At the beginning of playing poker i was an average player. Later I read techniques and I improved my game. But I kept reading manuals and watching hundreds of videos and now I've done badly in the tournaments. I feel confused between the instinct, which I have abandoned, and the analysis of the options and recommendations learned.

What do you recommend ?: have patience? play more relaxed? play safe? ...

I will play back to the natural tiger eye of before in a percentage greater than the technique and be more patient, which by the way is a technique hahahaha!:D:D;)

I think you've got to do what feels natural (after a lot of study) and not try and force a style of play too much if it doesn't feel right.

There is time that instinct speaks louder.

Instinct is more important. Instinct is a word we use to describe a series of less explored variables. This is particularly relevant with live play. Live reads are sometimes very easy to pick up and someones "energy" so to speak should be accounted for. It is also a factor online. Timing tells for example can be extremely useful, as well as bet sizing in specific situations. Villain could bet "POT" on the river 3 times in a session as a bluff and then bet something like 38.99 into a 52.50 pot when value betting. Information collection and interpretation will take you right to the top!

If you have a natural instinct in poker I would go with that, but also add a bit of the other, it really depends on who you are playing against, if you know there style of play. Watch and learn has always been my mantra.

Perhaps remember a lot of theory that interferes with the practice and listen to the inner voice...

Hi martinlgs.
I went through a similar moment, because I started playing for fun and did not know much about poker and when I started to apply the theory my game fell a lot, I was confused, but I was sure that I would pass this phase.
I believe instinct is very important and with the current theory I know that the results will appear.📚
Patience.
We are together.
😎👊🍀💰
