Mystic in Poker, do you believe it?

Well, I've come here to open a very different discussion than the usual using logical studies and strategies of Poker. Do you use and/or believe in mystical studies and theories applying them in a poker game?

I've thought about it and I tried some simple things just to check the rate of winning and coincidentally I started having more success using numerology while I'm insecure when it comes to risk something. I personally don't know if I believe or not these things, but I find it interesting anyways.

What do you guys think about using numerology and any other mystical method in some situations of luck and/or dispair in Poker? :icon_bigs :icon_sant

Yes, surely it's the most important. But I mean not leaving the rational method apart but combining them when it comes to a situation where you depend exclusively on luck or low probability, when you have no choice but risking. That's the idea I'd like to discuss, pure luck is dumb and isn't Poker but lottery. haha

I'm definitely in favour of this myself.

Always remember: the most powerful move in Poker is wishing for cards. This will bring in that one or two out hand every time. Go ahead and 3! with 72-off. You're sure to shoot down pocket rockets when the flop comes down: 7, 7, 2. That really pisses them off.

Speaking of 72-off, since everyone says it's the weakest hand, they'll never suspect you have it when you open raise from UTG with it. That means it's really the strongest hand because they'll never suspect you have it. Therefore. you should always play it, because it's the strongest hand because it's the weakest hand.

Every Hold 'Em player always has a favourite hand (that is never ( A,A ) ) Find yours and always play it without regard to position, the action ahead of you, or how much you have to call to get to a flop. It's especially helpful if your lucky hand has a really cute name like "Montana Banana", or "Dolly Parton", or "Jesse James" or something like that.

Make sure you supplement this with a lucky card, which you will always play every time you are dealt it. When your lucky card (which can't be an ace) coincides with your lucky hand (which is never pocket rockets) then "All in, baby!"

Never, ever leave home without your lucky hat, shirt, card cover, amulet, or charm. Should you do so, a losing session is guaranteed. Never make that mistake: it's one of the absolute worst a Poker player can make.

Numerology and other superstitions beat Poker math and logic every time. If you're not winning, you aren't spending enough time rubbing your Luck Box.

As for myself, I am not the least bit superstitious when it comes to Poker: superstitions would spoil my luck.

Are you sure? I think you can never be 100% sure of what your opponents cards are. Unless you have the best possible hand, no math, practice or intuition can give you all the certainty you need. I love to play any two cards, that's how I win a lot of large pots.

I see, I think it's something very personal. There are lots of people that claim to have more luck choosing some numbers over others, even when the math says no. I may agree or not, but I can't deny that the mystery around these things will never be understood. I've seen lots of crazy stuff happening at some Poker matches, I wouldn't believe my eyes. haha

I'm open to anything that makes me feel confident in poker haha, hope is a big part of the game

I kinda believe in that mystic but i would call that something differrent sometimes i just put random player on a hand and i be surprised myself. When was allin uaed to call random cards that would save me when im ahead plenty times those random bricks hit me hehe. I wish i could learn how to master it.

I know a lot of craps players believe in numerology and superstitions. But I assumed poker players were better than that.

I believe in karma. And I am sure that good deeds will be rewarded. And it's not just poker. So do good and you will be rewarded.

if , maybe, but a lways goes hand in hand with the statistics , sometimes there are exceptions, but poker is something mysterious, there are striking hands , there is only one way to play poker but disciplined ways that will help you maximize your earnings

Surely discipline, knowlodge and strategy are the most important. Like I said before, I didn't mean trading the obvious for something not secure. I mean in some specific occasions when you can't apply any other thing so you depend exclusively on luck or very personal situations in poker. I would never use numerology or any kind of belief in poker in place of something guaranteed.

Concentration and intuition

Poker is a game of skill .
to have ability one of the foundations is concentration. Concentration is an exercise widely used by mystics to develop intuition. If you see someone running with untied shoes soon.

i want to believe that theres no such thing as mystic in poker.i also want to believe that theres no mystic generally in life cause if not,many scientific conclusions we follow have no power.i want to believe that poker is maths,personal strategy(position,amount of bet etc),a bit of luck and a good/very bad software that likes bad beats

another vision point of this topic, the mentalist TV series that encouraged me to learn poker in one of his episodes , the hero of the series is declared a misleading mean bluffer , bluff in poker is a gaming tool then the mysticism of personangem It has something in common with poker

Never play Poker against Boy Scouts then

I dont always play mystic strategy, but when I do i try to make as many players fold after the turn as possible, so that I don't spill my chip stack into the river.
