Do you multitable? And how many tables you usually play? Whats the most?

Secondly whats the reason behind multitabling? I know that is to somewhat lower variance, but if its like you have to play ten tourneys to win one, why to multitable and dont play them one by one?

I never multitable because I want to have all my focus on the table I play and notice everything than just hit buttons when its my turn. I think I am better that way, am I wrong?

And a last question, do you multitable tourneys or also cash games?

At a point you can definitely mess up if you play to many tables. In the beginning of the tournaments its easy to play 4 or 5 tables however if you start to get close to money at least for me it always gets me to make mistake after mistake and then have to force a hand way behind. 2 tables are perfect anymore i lose money.

Multitabling think that you can achieve the best benefits in the sense that you are diversifying but you must also consider losses may be higher if you do not get a prize or not get enough funds, if we talk about CASHGAME.

Normally, I play at the same time no more than 2-3 tables.
When playing more than three tables, it is hard for me to control the situation and I lose.

You're wrong. If you play a few tables, it'll lead to tilt and high dispersion. Just install the statistics program (HM2 or PT4). The only case when you play in HU SNG. In the cash games you need to play from 4+ tables (I play a maximum of 8, 6max).

In MTT tournaments I play as many tables as monitors allow. 2 monitors for 6 tables on each.

I multitabling on my computer, just so I can have a few chances to reach the money. However in my phone I never multitabling becuase it's too hard to. I think I do actually play much better with just one table though, so maybe I should lower it when I play on my computer...

When I have a lot of free time, I play 2 -3-4 tables, but I just watch when tournaments approach my buy-in, but when a lot of freerolls take place a day I can play a lot of tables!

I on the contrary noticed the tendency, when I play two or three tournaments at once, I achieve a better result than when I focus only on one game

I voted "4 tables" -- it's the max I'm comfortable with and it makes a nice, eye-pleasing square when their edges are lined up on the screen!

So 4 is the most, but on the norm I'll play just 2.

Wow! I definately not expected multitabling to be the norm! Do you have HUDs or you multitable without a HUD?

I don't play cash games, but in sit and gos I like to play 2-3 at a time, no more, no less. If I am playing an MTT I only like to play one at a time, usually with one sit and go going on the side to pay for my tournament buy in ;)

I prefer to avoid multitable. If i have freerolls at the same time i play sometimes 2 tables always from my laptop and with HUD. For cash games it may be ok to play more tables but for MTT and especially at higher levels i find it difficult.

The main reason for multitabling is to be able to put more volume in lower time, thats the whole point, i do it up to where it does not cut my A-game for more than 10% , you should do it on stakes that you are comfortable wining however and, it is a good idea to play fewer tables when you take a shot to a higher limit

I currently use my tablet for most of my playing so it doesn't handle many tables at the same time, but I can usually have 2 games open at a time.

Why I play 2 tables not 1 is there is more chances to make money!

I would not recommend multi-tabling (beyond 3 tables) unless you are running a poker stats or management program like Table Ninja, Jivaro, Pokercube, etc.

Otherwise, there's way too much information to try and keep track of and you will be overwhelmed.

Overall, multi-tabling is way better for your bottom line as it allows you to gain more experience in a shorter amount of time and evens out the variance.

I,m sure, that only professional players can multytable successfully. I can play for a maximum of 3-4 tables, but only if this is a freeroll games. If i play cash or some good tournament, i need to focus all myself on this tournament.

I am very surprised at how many people are multi-tabling, I wonder if anyone has a recommendation for a book on the subject?

Good luck to you,
Brian
