Hey CC'ers. Do you prefer to tile or stack when you multi-table, or do you do a hybrid....ie two stacks or four stacks, etc. Also how many tables and what site. I know we have had a thread similar to this before but it has been a while. Trying to determine the advantages of each style.

I will start. Primarily at PS up to 10 tables usually one stack. If I am playing four I usually tile. I like the stack since it keeps me focused on the decision at hand, however the drawback is that it does not allow me to skip over that table easily and move on to the next one as tiling would.

Your thoughts please??

I tile 9-10 tables on 2 monitors, mostly on PS. I like tiling because I can still watch tables I have folded to get better reads on tougher opponents.

I think this has a lot of merit (reading opponents), but at the levels I play so far (2nl and 5nl), it maybe isn't as necessary. I can easily do 15 tables on PS at 6-max with stacking; I've done 24 tables twice and came out OK. I think with FR, 24-tabling would be even easier, but I haven't tried it yet.

For me, at this stage of my cash career (6 weeks in), I see all sorts of good things about stacking, such as not reading your cards too soon, being able to react to bets in front of you, not seeing the showdowns (which keeps you off tilt) and generally not wasting time doing things like looking at your folded hands and moving your mouse around a lot. It's also a lot easier on the eyes. It doesn't seem like very many of the players on here play like this, but for me, I find it very advantageous.
