Well, it's been two months since I decided to move to cash games. I've been rolled to play at 50nl since the beginning, so all i needed was to develop the skills to become a winning cash player to go with the roll.

So, after 6k hands at 10nl and 23k at 25nl - and a lot of reading - i think i'm now confident enough to play where my BR allows and so I had my first 50nl session tonight. :)

Looks great so far. Only played 400 hands, but i started on a huge heater. 33BB/100 is obviously sustainable, right? :D . Well, getting dealt AA 5 times and KK 8 times over 400 hands certainly helped. Full Tilt loves me...

More importantly, i'm not playing with scared money and i'm not impressed by superior opponent's plays, so i guess i won't be moving back down.

Thanks a lot to all CC members who discussed my hands in the hand analysis section. You've had a great impact on my game.

Wow I thought you were already at 50nl. You make me sound like a simpleton in the HA section all the time, to the point where I am afraid to post there now. You were more than ready for this move.

glgl, don't get too phazed by the new stakes. If you beat 25nl consistently for a decent winrate then 50nl should be pretty easy to get used to.

Now THAT is nonsense. :)

The thing, I usually feel like a simpleton when I read comments by Chuck, Zach or especially Fredrick, but that's all the more reason to post in HA. I feel you learn a lot more from a discussion you're part of than from a discussion you merely read.

can't wait to see some graphssssssss

Here is my PT graph for the last 2 months. Downswings in the middle are not entirely due to variance. I had big leaks in how I played from the BTN (I actually managed to lose money from the BTN in June, but made huge profits from CO, go figure...). Now it's back where it's supposed to be.

Together with the bodog hands which are not included, as well as MTT results (mainly the CCCOP ME) and rakeback, I'm actually up about 1k$ over the last 60 days.

Isn't it kinda funny how people move up together in groups? Seems like yesterday Zach and Chuck were posting 50nl results. Now they are both at 200nl. Belgo is finally at 50nl and WVHillbilly and I are right at the cusp of joining him. Lets go CC lets get some ballahs goin.

You'd better hurry up, i may not stay at 50nl for long. I'm running so hot (27BB/100 so far) that I should be rolled for 100nl in no time... :D

PT graph below. I know sample size is tiny, but i'm pretty amazed by the money won without showdown. It's up something like 13BB/100. Looks like any raise from late position, any squeeze and most cbets work. I don't think I've changed anything from the way I played 25nl (I'm 16/13/3) but the aggression seems to work a lot better at 50nl.

Very interesting to know. My stats are 16/8/3.75 at 25nl this month. I think after a while the PFR will go up since I have adjusted my play to steal more from the CO and HJ seats.

Dude what a run for you ... what an nice jump, and you are right i will have to hurry.

Congrats on moving up Belgo. It was always on the cards, your analysis in the HA forum is very good. Good luck at 50nl, no doubt you will be at 100nl very soon.

Agreed. Your discussion is usually pretty spot on, and you've probably had 50$ NL skills for a while as best I can tell.

And I concur on the getting more out of discussion than just sitting by listening. I often get in there and recommend some terrible play, but just by doing that I learn from it.

Making a mistake in the hand analysis forum is certainly cheaper than making a mistake on the felt ;)

Hi, this is getting me dangerously close to moving into the cash game HE arena again. You may have said this before Belgo, but what are the key books for this type of play in your opinion? Is it Harrington? I have read just about everything except those.. txs.

Harrington's is the only cash book i've read. Chuck's 10k post on beating the micros is also a must read i think.

This is true.

I don`t claim to be a cash game player, and I only play cash games to fill in my time between tournies, but I haven`t found 50NL or 100NL to be noticeably tougher than 25NL.

I think, though, that it is important to have a generous bankroll, so that you are not worried by the higher stakes and can happily play your normal game.
