When I have a sh*t day at the tables I just wanna take all my frustration out on everything. I get so f*cking pissed! So I go and crush my gym routine harder than ever.

Does this happen to you guys? I think it's better than throwing insults at the fish who hit his 2 out on the river.

Yes it happens you fell bad and angry and you want that money back but you no that it is impossible ,you just have to calm down and try to win again and make the money that you lost come back to your hands ,when it happens to me after I just play with monster cards like AA KK QQ or JJ and most of the time I have my money back

most of the casinos I go to are around 40 to 90 minutes away so I get to take a long drive back home and just think about life and it really helps me

Bad beat after bad beat after bad beat can make for some frustrating times.
If this ever happens to me, I go for a walk in the forest across the road.

When I have a bad day in poker, my family always helps me. Or just need a distraction. For example, I still play WoT, or just go for a walk. Take a break in the game for a couple of days. Find some new feeling for me.

Hitting the gym is an excellent way to turn negative energy into positive energy.
The time you spend at the gym will provide you with better benefits in life than playing a game ever will.

NateGotNuts we all have those days, weeks, or even months. For me, I don't get mad, I get concerned about my BR because I like to play poker, and can't make a deposit. So what ever my BR is is where I play. Do you do that, or do you stat at the same level? And I know that when you are at a certain level, it feels a waste of time to go down on cash and MTTS. Just consider you BR and you will do alright. And even if you make a deposit to get your BR back up there, Consider playing at a lower level for awhile. Then if you still have problems, post them and let us help

It's very important to have things outside of Poker like the gym or another physical activity to help release stress for me also. When poker is going good it can be easy to forget the benefits but its important to keep the habit even in those times so that when the unavoidable difficult times happen you're prepared. Good job not abusing players, that doesn't do anything to help the game and many players could learn that.

Good tips fellas. This community is pretty great. Going for walks, stepping back from the game...that's a good way to evaluate what is going on. I'm trying to get in the habit of just stopping, because I'm noticing that when a bad beat happens, I tend to tilt preflop and go out of my range a little. Also, I'm very susceptible to calling bets I shouldn't call, ect...just tilting.

I'm big into meditation as well. I spend about two hours a day or so on it. Love it! Keeps me calm, develops patience and concentration. Would highly recommend it to anyone!

Nate I would also say for you to get a book you can get interested in, Read an hour and let you mind follow what is going on and then see how relaxed your mine will be afterward. You may get in the habit of reading more than an hour. Books just take you away from everything. I love westerns, crime, and war. But there is always something you can find to do to take your mine off poker for awhile. Pros have a life other that poker. It would get pretty boring sitting here 15 hours a day. GL to you

We all have High-Low on the games. This is part of the game. However, the fundamental difference is the way in which you deal with it. Good luck at the tables.
