I've read that low limit players online are very lax and don't take the game seriously, but from a little experience it seems many are tight, aggressive. I play at a table w/ 10 people online usually, and maybe 4 will stay in for the flop. And they're pretty apt to fold. So then I watched higher stakes games and saw the people playing similarly.

I'm thinking everyone's read the standard books and more are less are the same now, with few bad players anymore to take money from.

I think when you're playing in the micro tables, you can expect people to play more aggressive/loose. Even if you raise 3 times the blinds with pocket Aces, it may only cost someone 6 cents to see a flop with 3 8 off suit. Why not call, you may get lucky. You can't expect people to fold with a bad hand when it basically costs them nothing to play. Even at the higher level, there will be maniacs.

Yes, I would say "most". If they were good players, they wouldn't be at low limits for very long.

I've noticed that too. I think that there has been a change in the Internet poker world in the last year or so. My own hypothesis is that newbs deposit $ and play far above their bankrolls. Say $50 BR and playing $10 SnG's. They blow their money and start over again, until at some point they learn the term bankroll Management, figured out how poorly they were managing their money and move down to a manageable level.

The micro & super-micro stakes are for players that have lost their BR and know that if they play as loose as they did, they'll be back grinding FR's again or at least some of us know that. Don't get me wrong, the low limit tables still have the donk magnets installed, but there is a growing population of players whose poker skills exceeded their BRM skills.
