So i'm going to start a page with a top 3 of the players i find most disgusting to watch:

1. Tony G

I think he is the only man on this planet who could make someone like Phil Helmuth. His offensive, agressive attitude is just crazy. Seeing him call the clock on a kid, while he wasn't even in the hand, was just the most offensive things i have ever seen.

2. Phil Helmuth

His proverbial rants after losing cards are obnoxious. It can be funny indeed when he goes off,but he makes stupid calls just because he is on TV and he wants to seem like a genius or wants to appear more of a man or something, only to whine like a bitch after losing

3. Mike Matusow

Belittling almost everyone, talking down to them makes him one of the annoying people ever. All of this is done while kissing Phil Ivey's ass on a regular basis.

---
Special mention: Jonathan Duhamel...i don't consider him bad or offensive, but seeing him win the wsop the way he did was just revolting. It was bad to see the lucky suckout vs Affleck before the final table and all the lucky wins in the final table that got him the bracelet.

Hey madaman the thing that you really have to remember about these other than fact that they have more money than god, have been playing poker probabaly before you even knew what a deck of cards was. Is the fact that they are playing live poker on tv and they in that their using this as part of their game! You dont have to like their game but you must respect it!

It's these personalities that make them successful.

I think it's great to have a strong personality even if you don't like it.

Not everyone likes to see nice/calm/boring people, I think most would sway towards an offensive sort of personality as opposed to a boring one as it doesn't make good television at all. :)

It's 2013 - Hellmuth has not ranted in quite some time (a couple years?).
I wonder when his last blow up was? If it weren't for YouTube anyone just starting to watch poker in the last couple of years would probably consider him quite a gentleman,

The most disgusting players to watch are all the ones that tank on every decision, how long does it take to look at 2 cards and make a decision. No decision should take more than 30 seconds.

What date did they hold the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star? (the one when he left the table and went into the fetal position on the floor).

I don't like Tony G the most. I saw him last night on a WPT final table re-run and he got headsup against Sirinder and he was just terrible.

I don't think BAD BEHAVIOR is respectable EVER. Just because you have money and have made a name doesnt give you the right to be a J-off

I think you can intimidate people quite easily if they fall for it. Testing another player's resolve.

I agree with this statement & it applies to all sports.

I loved the jerkoff that I played with last week. I called his small bet hoping to hit my flush. I didnt hit it. No biggie, only cost me $200 to take a stab with a stack of about 10k (early in the tourny) I show my nothing hand & he starts laughing at me. A few hands later I shove with AQ & he calls with garbage. Set him up pretty well.

If everyone was the same at the table it wouldnt be as interesting and fun. I love it when Im at a table where everyone is different. A drunk one, quiet, loud, one with an attitude about everything, and especially the guy that says, " I only called because it was suited!!" The only types i cant stand are the ones that dont shower, or they shower in Axe body spray:D

Matasow and Helmuth both intrigue me! It is always comical to see what is gonna come out of their mouth next.

I agree that it is all part of the game also. I find myself blowing off steam at the laptop when someone does something stupid. Now that is bad LOL considering they have no chance of hearing me.

I hate Tong G with a passion, and not just because he is Australian.

He would actually be a p*i*k even if he wasn't Australian.

And Shaun Sheiekan (sp?) horrible man

I wonder when his last blow up was? If it weren't for YouTube anyone just starting to watch poker in the last couple of years would probably consider him quite a gentleman,

He still has them, to varying extents - the ones in recent memory just don't quite rival his "probably doesn't even know how to spell poker" or "idiot from Northern Europ" classics in terms of volume and scale. Personally though I find his new schtick even more annoying as his old one. Those pre-prepared "white magic" speeches during this year's WSOP had me fit to puke...

As for Tony G, call me a biased Australian but I think OP just doesn't understand The G's powah. I like him. Plus he doesn't get anywhere near the respect he deserves for setting up poker news and greatly improving tournament reporting. Seriously, does anyone remember what WSOP coverage was like before Poker News?

And Matusow... yeah, he's like an anti-drawcard for me. If he's on a show, it'll actually discourage me from watching it. His rants and blowups are never amusing (unlike The G or Hellmuth), they're just sad and pathetic. He's sad and pathetic. On top of that he's a massive nit, so he's incredibly boring to watch. He'd top my list.

The thing is i can't really give someone a gold star or a cookie for being born before me.
The fact that they made a lot of money is irrelevant. The fact that they are on tv makes it even less irrelevant. I "MUST" not do anything i don't want. Judging by the same same premises, would it be okay if i made a lot of money off of poker and was on tv, to call you names and constantly abuse you for 3-4 hours while we play?

Sorry, but it's one thing to have a strong personality and be different and it's another to be a total douche for no reason. That's why Helmuth always loses, you act like a tool, more people will gun for you. More people will chase draws they shouldn't. Eventually all you will be able to do is lose. He also goes for draws when he knows he's beat, but then whines and curses.
There's actually no point in all that crap. When Helmuth is in a losing hand everyone roots against him, other players, the crowd, everyone.

If you were to have a small business and Trump came out to buy it from under you, i'm pretty sure that you wouldn't like to be constantly called names while you were standing your ground or simply just doing nothing.

If you are a douche, generally more people will gun after you and that extra attention will never help you.

Also i NEVER said anything about their game. I said that they are major tools and obnoxious orifices.

"more money then god and they are on tv, you must obey" - Haha...NO :p

3 reasons why i play online. Egomaniacs like are;nt need nor respected .Then again some of the "young guns" don't go that route and are successful also. There is no excuse for being a dbag.Would much rather not have them on TV when i watch poker.

Apples and oranges - as witnessed by you using the term new schtick. Can you not find any joy in seeing how hard he has to work at holding it together and how it just kills him inside?
softly "I can't believe he called the frickin turn with J8" announcement "Nice hand buddy"

Honestly? No. I agree that it looks like it's absolutely killing him trying to keep a lid on the outbursts but I'd rather he just let the outbursts fly. At least they were entertaining. This new thing is just sad.
