That you can`t get that lucky and expect to continue to win. I wonder what his stats are since then..

what kills me is the stats of most pros. i have not been online as much since the fbi raid, but i remember playing the sit n gos with many pros on the table. all of them had bad stats, except for Cunningham.

What do you not get, 70% of professional poker players are abslote degenerates...this is a prime example of that. Despicable.

And ^ percentage comes from mandated federal trials, and billions of hours of personal observation of course.

JFC!! You all fail at reading comprehension. Moneymaker is not selling the deck. Some guy from Binions who was smart enough to grab the deck after the event is selling it.

I know its fun to rip on MM who seems like a decent guy and helped kick off the boom that we have all benefited from but try reading the article.

"The seller is said to be a former employee of the casino, “working behind the scenes at Binion’s Horseshoe.” After receiving permission from his bosses to take the deck, the quick-thinking casino worker “carefully placed all of the cards from that final hand on top of the rest of the deck, kept in sequence, along with the dealer’s cut card, and put the complete deck back into the double Kem box along with the unused deck.”

Moneymaker was a PS pro for years and got freerolled into many tournaments. He isn't a world beater but there is no indication that he is busto or even close. Again, read the damn article before beginning the character assassination.

He must be short of money.

Maybe PS have stopped forking out money for him now because he can't play at their site no more, I guess they can get other people sponsored who actually can play live and online too.

I like moneymaker though and I'm unsure as to why he received all the stick he has done..I've seen his online stats too and he's actually a winner in tournaments. Not everyone is made for cash games.

Not sure which "pros" you played with in SnG's, in fact the vast majority of pros are the live pros who have made enough in live tournaments and just play big money online tournaments.

The only pros you're talking about in SnG's are online pros, who actually have made all their money in SnG's.

Which many "pros" did you play with by the way at a table?

ps: Why does it kill you to see their stats?

Ebay bidding to start at $7500 for Moneymaker's 2003 winning deck of cards.

http://www.pokernewsreport.com/chris-moneymakers-2003-wsop-winning-deck-of-cards-up-for-sale-5726

I don't get it. Just like I didn't get Eastgate selling his bracelet. Guess I'm just a sucker for memorabilia.

I agree, I dont know why people sell their bracelets. Its like is that little bit money that important. I mean I keep pictures of any MTTs I do well in so I know if I was ever good enough to win bracelets, hell I just want to win the trophies they give you my card room for 1st place more than the money (YES i want the money too but... ) its gotta mean someting to them

My apologies. I did read the section you quoted and for some reason thought that was how Chris got the deck. Totally missed "The seller" (so much for multi-tasking ;) )

Hard to believe this is true. Anyone know how much he sold if for ? Did he blow thru his wad that quickly, or just not like the style of his new bling ??

Thank you! See my post above for the relevant quote. This has nothing to do with Moneymaker.

Moneymaker gave the game a big boost when he won & has been a good rep for the game since, Bill. No reason why people have to put up with conduct like that. :)
