Like everything else in poker: it depends.

If it's a good deal for me sure, I'll consider it. If it's not, then probably not.

Depends on the breakdown. It is a risk either way. Would not do it unless it was an equity split with extra $$ for the eventual winner.

if the deal is good enough, depends on what place you are versus how many is left. if your in first, second or third place i wouldnt be making a deal, being in the bottom of the chip stacks u might gain alil ending it .

Out of curiousity what stakes do you play? I usually try to play out the final table but sometimes in the final 2 or 3 I like to make a deal if it's pretty fair to guarentee I get more than I would if I would have busted. Biggest one I made was a $16.50 6max hyper and we were final 2, 2nd was $1000 and 1st was $1400(rounded numbers a little) we were basically even in chips and chopped for basically $1200 each. High variance tourney and I was already happy with $1000 but guaranteeing $200 more was even better. Would you make a deal lets say in the final 3 of the Sunday million against 2 poker pros and all somewhat close to even in chips?

Depends on your opponents, if you think you are better than them, just play it, but if they have a similar level or are better than yourself, its probably better to just take a deal and reduce your variance.

Yes, many times the tournaments stretch too much and it is preferable to reach an agreement before the fatigue makes us commit fatal errors

Once upon a time I played all night and at the final table remained two players including me. I felt tired and wanted to sleep, therefore I accepted the deal with pleasure. But recently I refused to my opponent, because I felt good! So if you are sure that you have enough forces, you don't need the deal and in other side, if you see that your opponents are stronger, surely accept the deal! Good luck to you and have more final tables to make deal)

I play anywhere from $3.30 to $215 but mostly play in the range of $11-$33. The biggest final table I've made was an $11 deep stack. I was 2nd in chips with 5 left when everyone else wanted to make a deal, I said no. When we were 3 handed chipleader had a huge chip lead but wasn't using it. The 3rd place player was folding too often but ended up sucking out on me 2 in a row and I was done to 9 or 8bbs but I just played the situation and doubled up and eventually got heads up a 2 to 3 underdog. Chip leader played not to lose and I crushed him heads up. Saying no to deals will change the play of others. Live I play weekly tournaments at a local Casino when I'm in the city. I played 2 tournaments a week for 9 weeks $40 and $60 rebuys 90-110players made 9 final tables and the money 11 times but by not taking deals I was +$1160. As for the Sunday Million scenario, I wouldn't take a deal at that point it would feel like a freeroll. Especially since every time I've played the Sunday Million I've played for about 2hrs and then smash the self destruct button or one time I was second in chips at my table and button opens, I 3bet AA from the BB, makes a big 4bet and I shove and get called by QQ and he flops a Q. Oh my $11 deep stack win was $1200ish.

I never reached the conclusion of transactions at the poker table. I think that I would not have made a deal. But if I were tired and with a short stack - then I would most likely have gone on a deal.

When I enter the final table I play until the end of the game and did not make a deal, in any state of health if I want to sleep or get tired, this poker game must be a winner or he or I will win

Thanks for sharing! I agree it would feel like a freeroll in that situation and there's already enough money. And still having the chance for first and making the most would feel great. I'd just feel like an underdog and I think the tourney is running for 10-12 hours and I would be so tired by then lol. I just like the idea of settling it early and leaving a "small" amount to play for. Pretty sad to get in AA vs any pair and just have them flip a set right away.
