Ok guys i was wondering for those of you who played this game for a while what was the moment everything started to click? Meaning, you really started to understand the game on the higher level.. Was is after reading something specific( book, article , post ) or did it just come not in one moment but rather with time? I`m just wondering because i`ve read plenty of books, and there are still plenty to go through but i still feel like i`m away from fully knowing this game... ive been playing poker for about a year now... I know its nothing comparing to the pro's but i`m just wondering if there is something out there that can make that click in your brain and let you be confident about your game... Knowing that my game is good rather then average or even below that... If you guys have any books or articles to share with me that you think that they improved your game dramatically it would be great.. Thanks!

p.s. i know many of pro's always say the key to success is "patience" , i`m a very patient person so i already do that.. but what else can improve ones game?

I think just keep playing is the key.
I dont know how it happened , but i played freerolls for a long time, made 50cents here and a dollar there , most of the time never even placeing in the money.
Then all of a sudden final table.
Then placing in the money more and more.
Then bang 1st place.
Now i get final table often.
And get into the 1st 2nd 3rd more often.
And all i did was play play play play play.
Just keep at it.

Depends on what you play mostly, but for tourneys, the Harrington on Holdem series is excellent. I highly recommend it.

For cash games, I've heard Antonio Esfandiari's book In the Money is very good. Got a copy sitting next to me that I'm going to get into soon.

I think when you accept that you can play perfectly and still lose.
