If you're asking whether playing mixed games requires more skill than say hold'em or Omaha then the answer IMO is no. It required a lot of time and effort to become skillful in any game. There just aren't many people who have mastered even 1 game, let alone 5, 8 or 10, but in my experience, if you play 1 or 2 well, being merely proficient in the others is more than adequate to beat the low level mixed games. Personally I find that, on an average, mixed games are much softer than single games as most people are totally clueless as what to do when dealt more than one card.

I'll go with Horse. All limit games. The 7/8 games add in some NL games or PL games and confuse things. Skill comes with avoiding confusing situations.

I'd go with HORSE. It's not too hard to learn. The hardest game is probably RAZZ.

Where are you skilled?

Or more directly, why are you asking?

You are asking weird questions.

If you are speaking purely about the games in the mix, and nothing outside the hands you play, then it will take more skills to get good at more games. But in the bigger picture, a valuable poker skill is knowing your personal limits. So, as I mentioned before, not mixing the betting limits up is one way to actually show a little more skill. Several of the games in the big mixes are useless. Badugi for example. It is fun, but if you think you can be a world class badugi player, you must live in a very small world.

So almost any answer to the question u asked will be valid.

Tell us what you want to do.

Erm... am I missing something, or is the obvious answer not the correct one?

Seems logical to me that the more games there are in the mix, the more difficult it is and therefore the more skill you will need to win. So 10-game > 8-game > HORSE > SHOE.

Seriously, am I missing something?!?

skarla,

We have a problem. We can help, but you have to help us help yourself. We are guessing English is not your primary language, and you may not even speak any English. babelbots are ok, but you can not be subtle.

So what we need, to help you, is what are you aiming at, AND what your talents are.

We understand that for a while longer you are stuck with the 7 posts a day limit. So try harder to refine you posts, and tell us what you are aiming at.

But let me make a few assumptions. I know, assumptions are seldom good, but what else can we do?

I assume your are looking for great skills to match yourself up to. You may think you are good, and you may be, but at this point, your posts suggest you are still looking around for something.

If you are looking for some magical easy way to make money, then find a single game and conquer it. Mixed games are a whole different bag in how you approach the game. Very hard to consistently show good in mixed games, and even if you do show good consistently, that doesn't necessarily translate to being a good poker player. It is very complicated.

So, my advice is to be patient, continue to post (refine your specific questions so you don't waste those 7 posts a day), maybe figure out how to post a hand history (HH), and enjoy the cc experience till you can play in our single game buy-ins or freerolls, and teach your poker the proper way........

facepalm......

in generall i think that the games which need almost only skills are the mixed games which contain 5 games and over!!!like:horse,8game,10 game and other mixed with 5 and over games!!!
so in my opinion mixed games which contain 5 games and over need the most skills!!!
do you agree?

no holdem mixed and these stupid games!!!
so in my opinion is that mixed games which contain 5 games and over need almost only skills and are the most skilfull(mixed games which contain 5 games and over ,i mean!!!)

Lets go back to the beginning.

What is your native language? It may help us understand your questions.
What are these skills you ask about? Do you know what they are, or are you assuming they exist?

Your constant mentioning about skills is confusing us. Skill sets are seldom constant. They are influenced rapidly by recent events (bad beats, heaters and coolers...etc.). The pure skills would be the facts. What cards you have, how big your stack is, and the odds involved. The impure skills, are the intangible things that are those aspect of the games that will reflect those influences. i.e., reads on players, reads on yourself. Table dynamics. Actions you take under fluent circumstances. Your gut instincts. All of these impure skills should always be considered, along with many many more.

It is not easy to understand you, and figuring out what you are saying, and asking is driving us to comments like c9's. We have helped more than a few non-Engish speakers to even improve their English language skills.

I can't help but think that if anyone ever needed to spend 4 months (200,000 hands) playing play money poker it is you.

OK, rude..... but happy........

What exactly is your point???

No one said you are bad at poker, but your post leads one to consider you may just be.

Quit being defensive, and make some sense.........
