min raising small pairs in a case like this can be a good play.

alot of players will put you on a monster and fold.

also if you do hit the flop you want some money out there.

I usually limp with most small pairs, and if there is a raise in front of me and it wont break my bank i flat call. Those trips seem to hit enough to make it worth it to me, the payoffs are usually outrageous. Someone raises with a good PP and you hit trips on the flop and play it up that you have top pair or something on the flop, you almost always get a push. Been doing this for years and ive won more than lost in these situations.

well after the nice raise preflop, i would have done same, now with those callers you got to hope to hit the flop not only with a set, you could even hit most low cards and if you the lower cards you get make another semi bluff and see if that works, i would say around 2.50 and if noone raises and just calls out of that, and the turn is a high card, and you check i would be prepared to lay down the hand and if you do hit something it is easy to check raise also.

First of all, this should be in HA.

I am not sure what you mean here are you asking if raising UTG 5 way with 66 is fine? If thats the case, then yes raising is fine here. At 25nl it doesnt really matter to balance your range but this is a profitable play on its own I would think. You will take down plenty of pots PF and can take down more later on. What you do on the flop depends on the texture and villians so I dont really know what you want.

I play low limit games so I have a lot of trouble with small pairs and AK. If I have 66, I usually limp and hope for a set. When the flop comes overs and I still just have 66 I cant defend against anything so I give up on it. I lose a lot more than I win with low pairs.

I almost always limp with anything lower than 9's, it's too easy to get sucked into a hand post flop if the pot is too large. And as Dillingurdis said, the payoffs are much bigger when you hit trips if your opponents can't have any way of seeing it coming

Mkay..I would like limp 75%/ fold 25% in your position but my style is very tight so you might not want to take this advice. You instead decided to raise and you have 2 callers. Let's see considering the low limits with what they might have called:

qq not likely, they would have reraised for sure;
88 is a possible hand (I am not taking into account your post flop actions)
Q6,68 not likely too weak even suited
Q8 likely only for a loose player
medium hand with 2 suited to the spade - possible
other medium value hand - possible

They probably think you have an AQ or missed the flop with 2 high cards. Too ways to go here: check and see what happens, if they bet, they probably have something you can beat so go with the check-raise. The other way is the pot sized bet(which you sort of did, but I believe 3.50 would have been better).

Considering the post flop action, you should be wary if another spade pops you might be in trouble.

you bet 2.50$ and he called well play.. :)
now we'll see turn..
He can hold AQ or QX...AA.. KK.. everything possible or strongly he is waiting Flush spades..
If turn is not spade and 6, I make strong bet cause if he is waiting cards, i don't wanna show him river card..there is a still one card to flush..

alwasy hard to hit a set with small PPs but i usually call a preflop raise to see the flop, then i decide to check fold or raise...
