my opponent and I both sat with 80c and I could see our money disappearing to rake, after a few hands we were down to 1.50 on the table

i eventually busted him and sit with 1.27 of the 1.60 = alot of rake

thats just ridiculous. the rake is actually ridiculous on all sites if you play microstakes. i payed 134$ rake to 400$ winnings with a winrate of almost 6bb/100.

This is why I stopped playing HU cash. Last month I sat with $20 against a guy who had $16. Less than 15 min of play we had paid $4 in rake. Luckily he ended up paying it because when I got back to my original $20 I sat out and told him this is just crazy. Unless you can get it all in early, there is just no way to make money. HU is only worth it at high levels.

Is this kind of insane rake also occur for other stakes than micro in HU??

Play the HU sitngos if you wanna play heads up. That way you won't have to deal with the outrageous rake.
