No difference as far as I'm concerned. For sure people underestimate women in poker, but that's beyond the point. Of course there are more good male poker players, but that's just because so there are so few women who play poker. It's not like a physical sport so there's really no reason for there to be a difference.

Stereotyping is always risky as there are always exceptions especially to the rules. And just who made those rules. As a woman, I find it interesting to use a non gender identifying name. I definitely get treated differently.

I often play live poker. Sometimes women play better than men, but they lack aggression.

I think it is excellent the exposure of our friend "nestabear", with all these data that I did not really know them, but I also have my own criteria and I think that there are women who play very well this is because a game dominated mostly by Men statistically we are better playing, but we should not underestimate women who are intelligent and also very cunning.

I don't think one gender is capable of a higher level of play than the other. Being better at poker than someone takes experience, time studying the game. Genders a non factor.

That's it!
Excessive emotionality harm to the game!
Poker requires a clear, cold and instant analysis of the situation on the table.
But women have a heck of a stunning intuition!
And when we play live, they are killing us with their awesome charm!

Selbst and Liebert Top Women’s All-Time Money List

The Poker Boom brought both an explosion in the popularity of poker and the integration of women into the game. The few female pros that frequented the circuit prior to the Boom became superstars after and helped usher in a new era for the game.

There are presently 27 women with lifetime tournament earnings exceeding $1 million. The top 10 of the Women’s All-Time Money list is a solid mix of old school female pros and modern day superstars that have reaped the benefits of the monster prize pools of the modern era.

Leading all women is Vanessa Selbst. In just over a decade, she has risen to the top spot with over $11.64 million in earnings. Kathy Liebert was the women’s former #1 player, currently with over $5.98 million in lifetime earnings. Liebert and Selbst are the only females in history to earn over $5 million.

Other women on the all-time money list include future Poker Hall of Famer Jennifer Harman and inaugural WSOP-E Main Event Champion Annette Obrestad.

Below are the top 10 spots on the Women’s All-Time Money List:

Vanessa Selbst (USA) – $11,833,779
Kathy Liebert (USA) – $6,069,939
Annie Duke (USA) – $4,270,548

Patrik Antonius is currently online poker’s all-time money leader with over $17 million in earnings.
Phil Ivey is no longer #2 all-time in career earnings. That spot now belongs to Daniel Cates. His lifetime earnings as jungleman12 and w00ki3z are now $11.53 million, over a million more than Ivey. Ivey finished 2015 at online poker’s biggest loser, dropping him to #3 all-time with $10.27 million earned.

Below are the lists of the online poker’s greatest cash game players. We have divided the lists between Full Tilt, PokerStars and a finally a combined list ranking the greatest poker player by money earned online.

I think the lists is self explanatory. Men are currently the best poker players in the world & the reason for this, I think, is that Poker is about aggression, & men have a built in aggression factor that stems from the days when we were still wearing furs & living in caves. To hunt for food back then and provide for your family, you had to have a certain amount of built-in aggression. Have you ever killed an animal for food or hunted. Not for the faint of heart, you need a certain level of aggression to take an animals life. Woman didn't need this kind of aggression to rear children, gather berries and so forth. I can't see the ratio changing anytime soon, but hey... Good luck Girls.

So there is my take on the whole who's better @ poker... Men or Woman.

Hope you enjoyed it & see you @ the final table

Poker is a game played by dominantly male players, so i feel this information is somewhat skewed to that fact.

"If the form of poker is the factor that influences the choice, then we could see this factor working in other situations. For example, the high frequency of simple "shopping", but a much more rare frequency of participation of a woman in the auction.

The possibility of constant calling (for example, in limit games) can be more emotionally acceptable than the ability to push the entire stack to the center of the table and shout "all in". Roughly speaking, making decisions psychologically is easier when you do not need to think about the constant possibility of going all-in. "

"I think that the average amateur woman plays poker better than the average male amateur. In women, the ego in this respect is not so inflated, and they more soberly assess their abilities in the competitive aspect.

The appearance of games with big bet may have influenced the level of comfort in making decisions: you do not want to lose $ 200 against the all-in from someone who just tilts and shoves any hand, how much distance it would not be in value. "

Its difficult to say. Because men vastly outnumber women at the table you naturally come across more decent men, but the same can be said of bad players too.

I will say this, men, on average, seem to play a more aggressive style which IMO is the best approach if done correctly.

That said, i have come across some ladies that crush the table. Most men just assume they're better and think they can just steamroll the women. The observant ones take advantage of this misconception and either take them to value town or let them bluff off their chips.

I'm my opinion a good woman is far more dangerous than a good man.

If you pay attention to the fact that in poker playing, more men than women, it seems that men dominate. I find it difficult to say who is better playing poker. Women by definition play less.

It all depends on the style of play
There are moments when women play much better)))) But the men's game is based on discipline. Although there are some players who are afraid to play against Women. It is my opinion

Well said!
If you sit at a table with one or more female players instantly expecting to be better then them simply because your a man, then they instantly have an edge to exploit on you.

Go riders btw! Nice to see rider nation represented on here!

Many thinks that men play poker better than women but that is not totally true. Some women plays poker very well. We can't divide poker play by sexes. You need knowledge and luck.
