For me, it's dependent upon how the limpers react to a raise. If they will limp, then give up their limp to aggression, raising is fine. Especially if there are player who will call that raise, then fold to cbets. Yum, lots of free dead money. Otherwise, if the situation isn't as favorable due to players defending limps too often, or not folding to cbets, then limping behind is okay I guess...sort of, in a real ugly way. Hmmm, yeah I don't like limping here so much.

Personally, I'd only be playing it if I can raise. I don't like weak aces, and I'd much rather have say, 96s or 53, something that can hit a real funky flop and possibly stack someone, also adding "WTF was he playing 96o?!???!" to opponent's thoughts. Always a nice touch.

DEPENDING HOW THE FLOP COME YOU COULD TRY TO TROW 2 BULLETS MID SIZE NOTHIN TOO BIG BUT NOT SMALL IF THEY KEEP CALLIN ITS UP TO YOU IF YOU THINK YOUR GOOD OR NOT THEN YOU GOTTA THROW IT AWAY OR PUSH
Translation for the other ones who didnt understand a word he just said:

"I DON'T HAVE 50 POSTS YET AND I WANT FREEROLL PASSWORDS SO I'LL POST SOMETHING HERE AND HOPEFULLY IT DOESN'T GET DELETED"

It also depends how many bb bets you have in the tourney, you have 50 or more no problem with limping or raising. But less than that now your hoping you hit your hand and nobody else got some of that flop.

It depends on oponents fold to c-bet% and if the ever limp fold and it also helps if the blinds are tight.

Basically I use %fold to c-bet as an indication if I should raise these limps, on nl$5 (thats what your playing atm right?) it will be a massively important stat, because you will get called more you would like. I would be suprised to take down these type of pots pre more than 60% of the time.

The big money is made from these guys though is if they call and then c/f to your c-bets. The funny part of this is you dont need to be doing this with A-x hands, because random aces are usually part of these guys ranges, and you need to be incredibley careful playing post flop on an ace high board.

This sums it up pretty well imo

Like Tenbob said, unless the players are passive post-flop, I usually avoid raising limpers with weak holdings. You are rarely going to win it preflop, and unless you hit a big flop, the only thing going for you post-flop is PF aggression and position.

I tend to flat call in places like this, hoping for my suit to hit. It's more passive than I like, but you're getting great odds to see a flop, and you still have the button post-flop if nobody hits.

pretty much bump it every time. try to isolate yourself against them. Most of my play is 6 max though so limping is never part of the game. FR i think I still raise it unless its like 4 limps where its gonna just set of an avalanche of calls after the 1st guy.

PokerVic, just read that thread and I agree that everyday thanks to this site I learn something new about poker.
Thanks to you today I have learn about micro goals and how they can help improve your game and give you little something to work towards throughout your month which may keep you focused and ignore the more medium term goals.
I am now going to make a list of some goals which I would like to achieve and also tick them off when I go however I shall post these on my blog, thankyou for sharing a nice piece of information with CC.

Geez I hate A rag to begin with..but you are the button and If you throw out say 3 times the blind raise and see how the limpers react you will def. know where you stand. If one of the limpers has huge chips I would be careful because they will prob. call almost any raise.:deal:
