That's tough but keep playing. Most of the time a river like that won't come.

Thats not really that bad of a beat, just bad luck. He had 4 outs on the river so he wasnt that far down. I lost with all of my money in the pot when the other guy had only 1 out a few days ago. He caught quad kings for a $150 pot.

This doesn't always happen to you...

Please don't whine about bad beats on here, no one want to hear your sob stories. You played the hand correctly, and the outcome was negative for you. You win that hand over 90% of the time so just suck it up and move on. Everyone takes bad beats, you just have to learn to take them as they come.

Chicubs161.. I disagree.

We do learn to take them as they come but sometimes its good just to let out the frustration by showing other people what happened. Thus they can talk about how to possibly avoid it in the future (if poss).

Whining can sometimes be relieving. And though I can understand we don't want post after post of the things.. it does help!!! So sh ;) hehe

Maybe a bad beat board would do wel.

Chicubs,

The post is clearly marked Bad Beat. That is going to mean someone is complaining about a hand they lost. Sometimes it is a true bad beat and other times it is bad luck.

I think in this case it leaned more toward bad luck.

The point I am trying to make here is people at times need to vent about a hand.
If you trully see this as whining why even read the bad beat stories. Let the person vent and move on. Or just avoid those posts.

There are days I am just not in the mood to hear another bad beat story. I avoid them on those days.

That is a good idea Chiccubs.

Here is a thread that talks about that very thing.

[old link~tb]

Please feel free to add your vote in with the rest of us that think there should be a seperate section for bad beat stories.

yeah, i have had a few of those, flop a nut flush or straight then turn or river pairs board and guy has a boat, really prevents you from betting it the way you want to (well prevents me anyway). But I have been on both ends, so you have to take the good with the bad, just play through it, thats poker man

who doesnt like to tell a nice bad beat story? i was all in with a pair and some guy won with 2 overs and it made me mad, I was the favorite by a couple % preflop :)!!!!

hah, i agree though, sometimes it feels real good just to let it out! hear my suffering people! i dont mind telling bad win stories as well though, like when a river card saves my tourny life! alwyas feels nice!
