I myself moved from STTs and MTTs to rings lately and am finding it much more profitable, but definitely a lot different.
The money's in the multitabling. If you can't do it yet, just practice. It'll get easier; I couldn't even 2-table a few months back but am now looking to add more to my current 8 tables.
Deep stacks change a lot of things - you've got to really plan your
hands ahead of time to make sure you don't commit too many chips with marginal hands, you've got to make sure you build pots gradually with your monsters, and position becomes even more important the deeper you get.
You'll find a lot more postflop play in comparison to tourneys - STTs specifically. This was something I had trouble adjusting to.
Anyways I'm ranting, but with your
bankroll I'd suggest either depositing enough to multitable 10nl (I'd say around $300 total), or wait until you hit that point. 10nl is so beatable it's not even funny, so all you should be doing is playing very strict hand starting hand requirements, and pounding the hell out of the pots when you get them.
