is that good, average or slightly poor? I play about 4 - 5 hours to make that ammount. Sometimes i make like 100$ and yet other days i have losing days, so it all averages out to ~50 a day. I know the mantra is ~1BB per hour, so i'd be making 2$ an hour playing 1/2 on average, but it seems i'm making closer to 10 an hour. just wondering everyone elses win rates.

BB/100 [hands] is a more important figure than BB/hr, $/hr, or anything else, as they are all really just arbitrary.

Somewhere between 2-3BB/100 is regarded as the maximum sustainable win-rate in the long-run, I believe. Anything more than that is just short-term variance, though at 1/2 the upper limit might be higher (maybe 4BB/100?) because you'll run into more crappy play. Anything less than 2BB/100 might just be a bad run, but it's always worth analysing your play and table selection more deeply if you feel you're not winning as much as you can.

Good answer Dorkus but I was just wondering if this was N/L ring or limit ring. The BB/hr rate can vary vastly between the two, N/L is open for more swings (in both directions) but the possibility of higher average returns is greater.

its actually limit, as its more mechanical, and my bankroll lets me play longer, and therefor i can recover much easier. For example, yesterday i went from ~90 to ~10 with a few bad beats, but made it back up to 106 before i called it a night. So, there you have it.

I assumed limit in my post.

I think you need to have a micro and a macro way to look at your game to see things clearly. The BB/100 hands is a good way to guage the average but you need to look at it every 500 or 1000 hands and then look at it over 4000 to 5000 hands also. If you have to way to look and compare to you can see if you are doing better or worse than your average.

This allows you to see if it was a string of cold cards or are you starting to change your game and that is the difference. You can request a hand history of you last average and look deeper into the hands and see what has changed or was it just a string of luck against you.

I'm glad our assumptions were both correct.

Best in terms of ease? Yep.
