This is undoubtedly the dream of many of you. But if you are entering poker with the thought of making money, you are already starting wrong. If ever someone told you that making money in poker is easy, do not kid yourself, for it is very difficult. Only 5% of poker players can be profitable in the long run in poker.

Thank you very much, but I think most of people know and understand that making money playing poker is not the easiest way to do it.

How every business who need time, and persistent.. poker same, you need to study the game, study your hands, watching videos, reading books, studying the best options, the HUDS, and every material u find about poker, u need to invest time, and today somes can start whitout money, playing freerolls, but i recomned to start whit a litle deposit to be more fast, like U$ 50,00 u already can be a good grind, whit study and bankroll controll

My goal is to have fun, and turn a profi, everynow and again I deposit about 50 a month, and finish first in a few MTT, break even or cashout..i still have fun

I dont think that if you starting playing poker with thought of making money thats really wrong,for me thought of making money motivates me to study and learn more everyday.

It's insanely hard. But it is possible. Aspire in the 5 % who can.

Making money is the real objective of anyone player poker, or at least should be, but its not that easy as you need to always learn new things and develop your playing style, adapting to new situations and new kinds of games. But with patience and focus i think it becomes kinda of your reality making money. For some it may take years, but for others some months are necessary

You can make money pretty easy, but you need a solid plan imo. Just like anything you aren't guaranteed to profit. 80% of people these days work all day to just pay the bills and have no extra money. Do you consider that profiting or just breaking even? You could also lose your job at any moment making it even more unreliable. Poker is no different it will take skill, patents, a investment and of course some luck. If you are playing with cash and aren't serious about trying to make money then what are you doing? Maybe a better option would be play at home with friends or something zynga online.

I dont expect to get rich and even make money.
Basically if i make a profit it means i can keep playing, if I can keep playing will increasing my bankroll, then Im living my dream.

Building a bankroll and becoming a profitable player over the long run is a goal that i've always had.

Working on your game and studying will help you get there. Must have patience and be disciplined!

Once i got to make 50 $ from nothing in one or two weeks, that was really exciting, i hope i'll achieve that again

for what purpose you are playing poker ??? this is not a dating service !!! there can be only one purpose and that the money !!!!!

I am not sure why and if it is only on pokerstars but if you want to be a profitable player you must play live. Here is my experience so far on online poker. In the beginning when you haven't deposited you lose on freerolls but you improve your game and start entering the money and lately you became at final table. When you deposit you continue the winning streak and 2 days later you wait for hours to be dealt a playable hand. I am not sure if it is my tilt or something but I believe playing live is the best way to get some money. Local tournaments are the best places . Good luck.

Set realistic goals study read study more. Setting some form of a measurable achievements will definitely help improve your chances of making money.

my goal is to have fun , i think it's quite hard to get money from poker you need skills ,patience ...is not that simple,success might be to earn more than what we have spent for playing.
