Don't play to try and double up your money, keep grinding .01/.02 until you have $100 or so then move up to the next level and so on. Don't think about doubling your money and don't put a time limit on it or anything just try to learn as much as you can and move up in the stakes as you go.

I agree with SeanyJ in the sense of just play solid poker. Maximize you wins and minimize your loses. Try not to worry about doubling ur roll just slowly build on it. Also try and keep ur emotions under control so that u dont go on tilt. I have personally seen tilt eat through a BR. Also have fun when playing. I wish you the best. GL

What is the format in which you play the best?

If it is cash games, then yes grinding it out is probably the way to go.

If it's MTT, why not play freerolls until you are consistently cashing.

If you are best at sit and goes, buy in for as little as possible, if you lose 10% of your Bankroll, back off and keep doing freerolls.

Best of luck

Gratz man and gl! I agree, don't spend it all in one place to try and double up but do grind away at where you feel you do the best, what's comfortable for you.

When you think about double money - most likely you loose all.
Forget about money, just enjoy the game. And you will win.

WTG, I would try to stick to the .01/.02 rings, maybe a few HU games to mix things up.

personally, Id try a couple small buy in SNGs . winning a $2 SNG could nearly double what you have. I think the problem with micro ring games is the swings due to very loose players. If youre lucky and your hands hold up you could double, but with nearly every player seeing a flop....well, you know how it goes.

Anyway, I think you get more play for your buck in the SNGs. Good luck to you.
