Machine or your Brain?

What is your oppinion about machines? Do you use it?
odds Calculators are help from machines and do you think that that is fair?
I don´t think unfair using odds calculators but I prefer my brain,my own calculus and my own decisions.I´m trying to learn to use it but (to tell you the truth) I prefer stop odds calculator and use my won mind.
What about you? Do you use it? do you agree?

Brains working for me, or maybe not the brains as much as some good sense for players, what they have, and whether I can get them off their hands or not.
On the other hand I have seen an article, and a few YT videos about some AI poker machine/player or whatever that won against several poker pros..
Things might just turn around for poker players sooner rather then later in regards of using brains over math/machines.

It's better to use the brain.

the thing is there are so many different things going on especially at lower stakes...some sites are infested with bots...I have also read many arguments for and against HUDs...it's hard to know where you stand these days.

I've never used odds calculators or tracking softwares etc. Its all just me. I play poker for the enjoyment not to turn it into work. I feel like the tracking softwares etc takes playing ability away from poker. Just becomes mundane.

I use only brain because i do not know how to use machines software.

I believe that if it were possible to use 100% of our brain, we would be happier to make decisions, this strategy is good if you can take your readings seriously,
i read the cards well, but even knowing what the opponent has in his hands, I insist on seeing the cards and I end up losing to something I already knew was lost

Nothing in this world can replace our brains ... machines and software help a lot to have clarity in terms of mathematical calculations ... but the decisions are made by us ... so it's not good to get used to just playing with the help of machines ... remember that nothing compares with the brain ...!

I use an odds calculator, a HUD & the Stars instant replay (with odds turned on) all the time. In the end, I use my brain to make the decisions, but we live in a world chock full of technology, so it doesn't make sense to bury our heads in the 19th century sand. I use the technology as an aide, not a crutch.

I prefer the brain because you can't trust in the odds

I’ll do most math myself however for more advanced math I will double check myself with a calculator

Using all this technology can be good. But if you are not using it, you would use more of your brain to watch other things, and maybe play different approach. But I never had used odds calculator or HUD. I just know that exist some poker sites that you can't use this kind of technology. I believe it is to let more fun for everyone!

I've never played with a HUD, nor would I - there's just too much distraction there for me.

Having said that, I'll frequently run hands that baffled me through a hand player after the fact to see what I missed, and how to avoid missing in the future.

It is better to use your brain and intuition.a strong combination.

I don`t mind others use a Hud,i try and imagine what my #`s say to them and play different,,,like i know i havn`t defended my BB in awhile,just because of bad hands but guys with huds see that and try and `steal` your BB,well,,,lol,,,,i don`t let him.Stuff like that and alot of these guys 4-bet just to keep those numbers up,but are just doing it with draws,,,,you figure these things out as you go,comes with experience,hope some of this makes sense,lol,Cheers mate!:damnmate:

With only seconds to act,lees is more and I'll stick with my brain thanks lol.

The machines were invented and programmed by the men, I like the machines but in itself dealing with games like poker I do not trust the machines, for the reasons of being programmed by the men, and thus they can be manipulated.
The systems that aid in poker, do not use any.

After using a few weeks odds calculator, I already knew all the percent chances. I can count the odds, but it was faster.

IMO if you're playing online you need to use as many tools as you can. You are playing against other players that have these tools and if you want to keep up, you should become proficient with them. It is an even playing field when all resources are available to all players, you just have to know how to use them. It is like when you take an open book test you can still fail if you don't know how to use the resources properly. My brain and knowledge is used in live games. Online, I use every resource available to me to win.

Whatever it takes to mitigate the luck factor I am good with. Being ignorant of information that will allow you to win more pots is just dumb.
