hey all, Question: why is it that when i started playing online poker a couple of years ago and had NO CLUE about things like position, button, odds, outs, aggression ,tightness, etc etc and all the good stuff that all the experienced players are aware of,i managed to make some final tables in 3000 player plus MTT's and even won a few 1st place,3rd place, bla bla bla. (didnt do bad at all for a TRUE DONK that i used to be)
And now that i am a much more experienced player( read books, practiced alot, made some money etc),it seams harder to reach final tables .i feel as though the more you know the tighter you might play or fold winning hands, where as when ur a donk u call off anything without taking into account that there is a made flush on board or a made straight.
what im saying is that sometimes we tend to overanalyse the table, our opponent and give people too much credit for having hands which they dont due to scarry boards.
bottom line sometimes the so called FISH that we all talk about DO BETTER due to lack of fear or understanding.
so what im saying is that sometimes too much information can lead you to being THE FISH urself, because you might actually create wierd scenarios about hands opponents might have in relation to the board when fish would never do that. Hence the saying,u cant bluff a fish. any comments?
