People have different perceptions based on their experiences, so expect that you may read some good ... and different advice.
Limit Poker: No Fold Em Hold Em in Las Vegas. This may be the most economical way of playing, but also the most frustrating. It is not uncommon for many pots to be family pots with some players limping with any two cards. Expect bad beats and crap hands hitting a lucky river. Fold at this minimum limit level in Las Vegas? Muhahahahaha. No. No one does.
No Limit: Sounds like you want a friendly room. You might want to try Ballys and the Imperial Palace. These rooms tend to attract tourists, some very bad and some very drunk. Luxor used to be a fun place, but I have not played there since they made major changes some time ago.
Bill's Gambling Hall: Only a few tables, but juicy, I hear.
O'Shea's: You are not allowed to play unless intoxicated.
Paris: Poker Room now closed.
Tropicana: Poker Room now closed.
Excalibur: This would have been the perfect room for you before they switched to electronic poker games
. I tried them and didn't like them. If I want electronic poker I'll play online on my laptop.
Have a fun trip.
