After a couple of house games with a few other fellow poker buddies, I had lost the drive to play due to the people I play with never really paying attention to the action. Sometimes one street would last 20 minutes and I would just give up trying to tell the person to act because they just weren't listening to me and I just sounded like a broken record. One kid who would deal would try to switch cards around in the deck. I was the only one who noticed because like I said earlier, nobody would pay attention and I know I could've been dealer and when I was I would usually get made fun of for being so precise I guess you could say. Nobody else knew how to deal besides me and that other kid who would switch the cards around. What really did it for me was when one guy reached across the table and turned my cards over preflop after I raised and it was his turn to act. I called him out on his bullshit saying what he was doing was ruining the game and his response was "it's just a game" after that I picked up my money from the table and left, haven't touched a card since then.
Not really sure where this thread belongs since it's more of a rant. If anyone has any similar experiences please share!

We would play Texas hold 'em and they would insist on a $10 stack with .25 / .50 blinds with that many blinds the games would still take 4 to 5 hours

This is why I play online, people still have the option of playing slow but only for as long as the time bank allows. Maybe try to find some other people that respect the table and those at it. If you enjoy playing don't let some jackass ruin the game for you. GL!
