While playing online, I sometimes will get all of the opponents money in while I have the best hand. I know I don't have the nuts, I do know, or pretty sure I do that I have the best hand.
After getting all of his chips in the middle, yesterday for instance. He flops over 7,3 off suit. He had one 3 on the flop and kept calling my raises. I had the nut flush and straight draw, plus I had AK in my hand and AK on the board. He kept pushing all in a good bit. So I took my shot with this hand the only thing that could beat my hand was a 3 on the river. All of his chips were in and the cards exposed.
So a 3 comes on the river. lol It happens I am not complaining. I am just stating I still feel I did exactly what I had wanted to happen. Except for the 3 that gave him trips to beat my two pair. I had a lot more outs to get the nuts than he did to get his 3.
Goes to show that without the river being shown, I really should not have put all the chips in. I didn't limp in, I flopped my two pair and bet heavy, he called. I then bet heavy on the turn he raised. I then raised him all in and he called with the pair of 3's.

That's the way you have to look at things. If I get my money in good and he ends up hitting an out on the river, I don't mind. Yes it's annoying but it happens.

Yes you could have called the turn and waited to see the river but would you have folded top 2 pair? I doubt it, especially the way he seems to be playing.

If you got your money in good, I.e you're ahead, then fate decides it's your turn for a bad beat then so be it, that's the game.

if you play the hand the righ way it sometimes happens that you predict what your opponent had and even thou he had a better hand, you still get that feeling . You know ou didn't do anythig wrong but you lost the hand. It builds a paradox but it makes sence :D

Who has not had the feeling that everything happens in the last card, RIVER, actually kills most players, imagine that you are winning on the flop and continue to win on the turn, but then at the end you will be killed mercilessly.
But look now, on the other hand, imagine you are winning on the river, so it's a point of view, what's good for you, may not be good for your opponent,
The coin has two sides, does not it?

Congratulations on your attitude. Many players would only focus on the negative side of the result.

This is a perfect example about the risks of being "result oriented." Did you play the hand well? Did you get your money in good? These are the real questions that will make you a winner over time. "Did I win the hand? is a question that is only about immediate results and not whether you are playing well. Congrats on having the right attitude. Hard to do in this game and really important to have.
