...not sure what your point is? It was a super-turbo charity tournament and they did all sorts of stupid stuff to raise money.

Hachem and Warne never even played in the rest of the tournament - the structure was always that the last seven or eight players in the tournament would play a final table with Warne, Hachem and the winner of some dinky super-super turbo last-chance tournament they ran on the sidelines to raise extra cash. Everyone started the final table with even stacks, regardless of how they did in the rest of the tournament. Pretty much everyone that played was doing it to donk off money to charity.

What's not explained very well is whether Hachem and Warne were actually awarded the prizes for the position they finished - Hachem got third, which in theory was good for a seat in the Aussie Millions main event while Warne got eight, the prize for which was entry in an Aussie Millions satellite. I'd be a little surprised if they kept them, but by the same token, it was a dinky charity tournament and I'm sure everyone who entered knew what they were getting themselves into.
