Here's the situation:
.
Texas Hold'em
.
On the board is: A-S, J-S, 10-S, 9-S
.
Player 1 holds Q-S
.
Player 2 holds K-S
.
Player one says "Top card is an ace, This is a split pot. I play in Vegas all of the time and I have seen this hand play out as a split pot."
.
Your thoughts?

rightly so, if he thinks that's a split pot he probably shouldn't be playing poker anyway.

No way in hell does that split. Belligerent players should be ejected regardless of why they're spouting off.

I know I thought y'all would get a kick out of this. The guy was yelling about how everyone in the room doesn't know how to play and held up the tournament for almost 30 minutes arguing. He made one heck of a spectacle of himself because he got beaten by the only card that could beat him.

Ive seen many people think this, or that the 6th card mattered. Love the I play in vegas remark. More than likely should really be "Ive lost a ton of money playing poker in vegas"

Glad to see there are people out there worse off than me! No reason justifies throwing a fit though.

WOW. I would of been laughing at him and asking him why he is still playing poker if he does not even understand the simple concept of what hands beat what.

Yup, only in Vegas...

I see people saying they should win the pot instead of splitting because their second card is higher despite the 5-card hand not involving it, or having their bottom pair counterfeited and outkicked demanding to win the pot because they have 3 pairs.

We did a majority vote. It was pretty hilarious. "All in favor of the king winning raise your hands" *every hand but one raises*. "All in favor of the split pot winnin.... (player one) 'Oh fine whatever... take the money. It's not like I wont win it back" 3 hands later he is out of the tournament.

"I play in Vegas all of the time" haahahahahahaha nice credentials. I would imagine that guy is a classic one-upper. He has been there, done that, A know-it-all, fantastic fable fabricator. We all know one or two characters like that I think. I sort of pity them. Those types tend to back themselves into the most rigid corners.

How did it play out? It couldn't have been a serious moment, could it? I would imagine laughter all around. Everyone jokingly muttering, "I play in Vegas all of the time.."

Are you sure he was belligerent, and not just "challenged?" LOL I would assume he is very new to hold em', whether he wants to admit it or not... Unfortunately, for him, it isn't a split pot, but I can understand his confusion, especially if he is new to the game.... And this: ""Top card is an ace, This is a split pot. I play in Vegas all of the time and I have seen this hand play out as a split pot." was simply CLASSIC!

How can something so dumb have been allowed to hold up a tournament for 30 minutes?
