Hypothetical tournament in Vegas top 5 paid $1000, $700, $500, $300, $100. Who tips the dealer when it's over and how much? Also if the entry fee has like a $5or $10 dealer appretiation fee do you still tip? Thanks for any and all input.

tournament dealers get paid very little, on the other hand you're already paying huge rake on live tournaments.

i won 16K in Vegas last year and tipped about $300

I don't understand? Your always getting a new dealer at your table when your playing. Is that money just going to the last dealer who was dealing out the cards to you or is that money getting split up somehow?

I think they usually pool tips. So that's a bad thing when you tip a good dealer and the money gets split with a bad dealer.

so about 2% and only from the winner assumedly. I am moving to Vegas in January and will be playing small buy-in tournaments as my income. Under $100 buy-ins to start out with 3 or 4 a day. I did this full time in Atlantic City also a few years back, but those tournaments usually ended up in a chop and we would all throw in a few bucks in each, but not sure if I will be facing this same chop tradition when in the money in these in Vegas or whether they mostly play it out, but will find out when I'm there.
