You gotta figure that online poker vs. live has ease of calling by just clicking the button. There's less pressure and freerolls are, well. free. Less people care about losing their stack or playing well. They simply want to double up. I recommend being patient, pick your spots and don't bet like crazy unless there's a purpose

I agree with the above post. Take ACR for instance, where there is typically another freeroll just around the corner. Some people just jump in and start shoving to see if they can gain some traction, or an advantage. Seemingly trying to gauge if this particular tournament is worthy of their time. If they do catch a little lightning in the bottle, then a percentage of these players will slow down a bit. Another percentage will just keep shoving for the heck of it. Live poker is different. You've invested some time, money and energy to sign up for the tournament and you are not completely anonymous.

It's really for this reason that I like live poker. There are fewer players doing anything, but there are still some.:)

playing live is much more interesting but the problem is that in the online game we will play much more hands per hour

always when you play freerolls you need to significantly increase the range of your opponent's hands
secondly you need to understand what stage of the game
third what type of player. if it is loose-aggressive, it is quite possible that the development of the event

Freerolls are always pretty wild, just keep playing them and you learn how to deal with the insane calls.

With A5 suited the only situation in which i would raise for half of my stack is if i am 10 blinds or less and in such case i better be all in. Main difference between live and online is that online is much cheaper to play. Online you can play freeroll or you can play for cents so in fact everybody can afford it hence many people play with whatever cards they get and do not care. Live it is very difficult to find game for less than 10 or 15$ which is much more. moreover when you play with people live you can be ashamed to show 27 offsuit with which you raised aggressively and even if you are not ashamed people with which you play will learn fast that you raise with junk and use it to exploit you. In online though you almost always play with different people every time so most people do not care how they play.

I played live poker when casinos were allowed in our country and I really liked live poker, now I play online poker for a long time and I don’t have the opportunity to play live, but now in Ukraine poker was announced as a sport and they open There are a lot of poker performances and I can try playing live poker again, so live poker is better for me than online but this is a cash game, and I have not tried it in tournaments and I don’t know!

Hi There
as one said above there is no comparison between live and online
Online you find much more fishes swimming
Besides the fact that behind a computer you never know whos there and
one can make anything uncovered....lololol

In this case, you can not compare live poker with online poker, since you can not compare freeroll with an expensive tournament. The difference in the level of players and the buy-in of these tournaments. When you play freeroll, you will not be too busy playing if you lose because because. Essentially, you will not lose anything and there is no risk, unlike the high buy-in tournament.

Online people play any two because they win with bad cards many times.

When I play live, I am usually on vacation, so poker is my fun and entertainment. The cost to play is also much greater...the smallest game in many casinos is $1-2 with a minimum $40 buy-in, but most are $100 buy-ins...so I take losing $100 a lot more seriously. When I play online, especially for free, I don't really worry about losing...I even enter tournaments knowing that I only have 10 minutes before dinner.

This is Private table or Public Table?
If Public Game then Who cares, I know you are hard working to get a grind but free rolls on public table, you never know what happens.

I just played some live tournament poker over the weekend. I found it much easier to fold hands than online . I just wasn't willing to get caught up in a pissing contest. There is a big difference between putting up your hard earned money vs playing freerolls online.
I played a $120 buy-in tournament with a $50 bounty. I knocked out 4 players and picked up $200. Then I finished in 5th place and took home another $275 for a cool profit of $355. I think I'm going to start playing a little tighter online.

I think people take the CC freerolls more seriously than people in a casino playing $1/$2.

live poker

i only played a few live tournaments but made it in the money in most of them but either taken out by a bad beat or reduced my stack so much i had to go allin, just the feeling of the bad beat is so much greater live than online eventhough the money was much bigger online? or atleast was my experience, maybe because you dont play that many hands live or online just another tournament around the corner(if not already going on at multible tables)

how do you gauge reality?

This is a very indeterminate question !?
You said "half a stack"? How much?? 5bb or 100bb stack??
If I have less than 10bb it's always ALLIN with A5s lol.. But if I have more than 25bb that is easy fold it does not matter LIVE or online.
