Does anyone how the random number generator works? In the sense of do the cards continue to shuffle after cards have been dealt? When play with live cards I know come hell or high water the next card off the deck is going to be the next card off the deck but with online play I'm not sure if the next card will be the same card if I even take 10 seconds longer to make a call. It kind of bugs the piss out of me because I feel like I never really know if I made the right play or not.

I believe so. Many claim it doesn't because of how many crazy flops and bad beats occur online but that's just because you're playing a significantly higher number of hands per minute when compared to live poker, so it seems as if it's "rigged"

I think everyhand online is shuffled like Albie says. There does seem to be more beats I think he's right because you see more hands online than live.

I prefer live tbh but online is convenient to play alot more tournaments and cash games... But I like both. Good luck! Welcome to CC...

Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to play live, so I play poker only online.
I will not think about such things, because in general I play the plus.
I believe, if the digit generator will bring me income, then it suits me.

Some people say that crazy things like several bad beats during a game do not happen during live play and are frequent online so i decided to share my experience from yesterday live game with a total of 5 people and around 3$ buyin. I got 2 bad beats during that game which were very unlikely. First i had 9d10d, got 3 diamonds from the 5 cards on the table and got beaten by Qd3d. Second i had A and 7 offsuit and got beaten by 7 and 6 offsuit which draw successfully on the river to straight. Finally i went allin agains a new player who was constantly calling with almost every 2 cards. I had AcJc and he had KK and beat me. Definitely not a good night for me but i just wanted to tell that such things happen also during live play. Its poker guys. :)

I am just playing poker.
If I am not lucky today, I will continue to play and know that I will be lucky tomorrow.
Good luck.

Overall, I prefer playing live to playing online -- for the very reason of the random number generator/algorithm that online poker sites have to use. When you play live there's a whole different feel to the "luck" and when you're on a winning streak!

i keep saying but i really dont trust 100% online play. i dont know why, maybe its just i dont trust who is behind the software. like in the movie with ben afleck and that guy from nsync. when i use to live in miami i could go to so many places to play live games, but back in brasil, at least where i live i can only play house games. still fun, but its different from playing a tourney at a casino etc..

I'm also a bigger fan of live poker only play a lot online due to the convenience and the wonderful variety of games and sites. Also its nice to play more then one tournament but the reason i like live is do to the simple fact you know your playing real people and the calls raises bluffs the game you can look at the person your playing and make your call fold bet.

I can assure you that in live poker there are more batbeads than online even players play more loose especially in cash, only online you play more hands per minute than live so there is a bit more action but the shuffling of the cards are very complicated even live the dealer some have the ability to mount cards so you will never be safe in a game of bets either online or live

RNG always has variance. You can flip a coin 1000 times and chances, all things being equal, that the count of both heads and tails will be within a margin of error. So to use that same example as an analogy, it's like you're flipping a coin for every card in the deck, then every player at the table and probably more on top of that for good measure. However, irrelevant of how many coins you have to flip, the results will still always come out at about equal - within that same margin of error based on the sample size. The only factor left is time; how long it takes for that variance to even out.

Nobody can be sure as to how the online system works because it's a closely guarded secret - However the tin foil hat in me tells me that I wouldn't put it past a big business to weight the decks a certain way to entice more action, thus increasing pot size, thus hitting their rake cap more often, but I don't think they would specifically rig the game to make a certain person, like the big stack at a table, lose more often.

In on demand, no buy-in freerolls. All gloves are off, Nobody is paying for anything and I wouldn't put it past them to keep track of players entering and ensure they don't win too much free cash. But this is just the tin foil hat in me and can probably, most likely, maybe, be safely ignored.

Ilove online because I can play cheap. My bankroll is what ever I can generate through freerolls and then microstakes. and in order to be consistent you have to play a little different. I used to be one that believed wholeheartedly that online was rigged. But even going to live games (about a 2 hr drive a little less) I don't get to the casino as often as I would like, but I saw some crazy badbeats as well live.

But what kind of nailed it for me was looking at the leaderboards on CC and noticing that a lot of the same people seem to be in the leaderboards pretty consistently. So I figure they are better players and especially the ones I have come to know and play against in other games cc or not, they average lasting longer in most tourney's I see them in. So just shows me these people can play so I find it hard to believe its rigged. anyway just my opinion

Other big thing I learned here is variance. And the need to consider not 1000 hands but 10k or more.

As for the hand count and which card comes next. I have always wondered about it, but not much I can do about it regardless. So I disregard it out of hand.

I played with someone that was convinced that if he waited till the clock almost ran out he would do better in the game. Was annoying as hell playing against him. And again to see a real pattern would require a lot of hands and to time out each hand as well, F that lol

?

Timing is very doubtful to effect the card your dealt with online Im not sure any systems work that way at all.

I do not have the opportunity to play live poker at the casino, I play poker online and it's good for me, I did not think about such things that cards continue to shuffle after the cards are dealt because I'm sure that I'm playing correctly but the situations are different in game, for me the main thing is that I get good results and get profit in poker online when my card is playing, but if my card does not play in the game it means I was not lucky, but I continue to play and try to win on my game skills, but luck comes sometimes at the right time!

You said that "I'm not sure if the next card will be the same card if I even take 10 seconds longer to make a call." This is called of "random bits" (that interfere within the algorithm, as explained in a video of the PS). There are several other factors, such as mouse movement, user input in the tournament, etc.

sometimes it's best to beware of some wrong attitudes, for example you even think you have a good letter. but when in fact he had become a blah for you. knowing that it is not type, pair of 10 or pair of 9

Do you trust online poker?

Do you trust online poker ?, I have many doubts about online poker, because I do not see the deck being distributed by a professional as it is done in live poker.
