Just looking for opinions

I am not a live player, so I don't know first hand how difficult it is to play live. I just think it is different. You have the opportunity to see the other players, and talk to them. They also can observe you. That adds a new set of skills: reading others and keeping yourself hard to read. Also, the average live player has to shower (he should at least), dress, and make it to the casino, not to mention pay a higher rake and be able to sit at only one table at a time; so, probably the average live player is more committed to the game. Playing live can be intimidating for the novice players, so they probably start online at microstakes level, and move up from there. Of course, that is just a personal opinion, I could be totally wrong.

Many say yes. But it's different. All those tells, noise distract you from the game. So it becomes almost the same. And you can't watch movies while someone thinks for 6 minutes. Well you can but..

I doubt it goes by that way.

but I can say that playing Live is better than online due to players use to take it more serious.

I played live once but found it easier, but it takes a lot of concentration to disguise the emotions

It's very different,
From my experience there is less 'trash play'. Online it's quite easy to shove with 22, if you do that in live poker, the table can be pretty made.

I think live poker is better. You gain money fast (no banks, waiting time etc). You can also see reactions of people ,if they are nervous ...But its not a good value if you win .Here in Athens, there are live tournaments with 30 $ and 1st win 850$.At pokerstars with 2$ you can won 1.200 $ .So there is a big difference between live and online poker.

It depends upon how long you have been playing. If you know the game well enough it is preferable to play live. There is that certain atmosphere that is missing on line. If you have only started playing, or played for only a short time, it's better to learn the game on line,

Ye but how will it help you to realize if he/she bluffs or has nuts?

I think it's because of number of players.

It's definitely easier to "read" opponents if you are observant so yes this makes it a little easier than online poker. At online poker it takes more time to understand other players unless you have some notes for someone you have faced in the past..

Concerteza live is more complex because you are there face to face with other players have more pressure online is safer because you are behind a screen and I also think that oline has more recreational player for access to be easier the two you have Know what you're doing or do not boow you're out

$1/$2 live (small blind/big blind) will be significantly softer than $1/$2 online. There is a higher % of recreational players online than live at those stakes as you can play multiple table and make a living with a higher hourly $ win rate.

In my city, yes.

But probably the same don't occur in a big tournament or city.

Online is easier, because you con leave and return when you want. Live leaving is connected with traveling.

You just need to try it by yourself to understand what is easier.
To be honest i,m still not playing live poker yet, because it,s out of law in our Country. Of course there is some unofficial games, but i,m not sure that it,s safety(for life) to play there. So if you can play and taste live game - you need to try it.
Online poker is also good. Choose what you like more and play it.

I played both of them. But the live game is more mind game than online. because they talking, maybe not directly to you, but its affect your focus and influence your decision. that's what I observed when I play live

Live you play less hands but you garner more tells which in hand helps you destroy/win against your opponents.

For instance, how they look at their hole cards is a great starting tell.

Online just allows you to get in more games

I assume it depends a lot of your style of play and your knowledge of the game, if you kinda new to Poker, then you most likely gonna make it "easier" for regular Live players, while you are unexperienced yet.

Live poker requires more focus....there is more to pay attention to....watch your opponents when they are in a hand, and when they are just watching play. Notice how they play with their chips, chew their gum, how they look when they are strong and weak....the key is to store it all in your hard drive (brain) for use at another time...sometimes you will get only one good chance at using a tell against an opponent in a big hand, and that's when it is most important.
Online, I find that I am listening to music, watching YouTube, or just playing multiple poker games...all of which are not optimal for poker success.
Lastly, I agree with those who say that players are far less likely to do really stupid plays live, because everyone stares at you and wonders how the hell you could have just done that!
