Live $100 buyin tournament last night, I saw this within the span of 20 hands:

KK vs. KK

AJ hitting runner runner to beat KK on a board of AK2-A-J

J5o > KK

Straight flush on BB special as 3c2c beats Jc9c and 44 on board of 5c4c5s - Ac - 7s

He said live poker, not online. By the way, where were u playing, was it a home tournament or at a casino. If it was a home tourney i would definitely
say it is rigged, but at a casino i dont think so

Yea I played saturday night in a home cash game 1/2 nl I got pocket Kings a LAG player raises to $12 I reraise to $35 he calls flop is 2 6 7 rainbow I bet $60 he pushes allin I call he flips over pocket 10's turn is 9 river is 8 giving him the straight. Then later on I have JJ and raise to $40 next guy goes all in it comes back to me I bet over half my money so I called the all in he had me covered by $8 he flips over KK flop comes 7 10 4 turn 8 river 9 I win with a straight. Then the last hand of the night the LAG player goes all in preflop everyone folds to the player to his right and he says ok lets race I call and flips over AK suited LAG turns over AA and the AA holds. Oh yea in another hand I raised on the button with 35 suited get 1 caller flop is 4 6 2 he checks I bet he calls turn is K he checks I bet he calls river is 6 now he bets I think he just hit something like a boat but had to much invested so I called he had quads.

Comparing a $100 Live tourney is the equivalent of a $1 - $3 tourney online... da skill levelz of those players are about equal.

hey sean...can i ask where you are from...because i must tottally disagree.. where i play, my main game is €80 euro live..and the quality si extremely high...ive played tourneys online that are prob just a little below this, and are of terrible oppositiomn...i think there is a huge didfferencew between the two that you mentioned...maybe im wrong, if yes apologies...i just find that as of yet ive yet to fund a tourney where im outclasses..unlike live where players are simply better than me...

nah most of the players in the tournament are pretty good....several pros...even the most fish of the group pretty much play every day, this isn't a recreational group.

Obviously the outcome of every hand is controlled by the Holdeminati.

And Doyle Brunson blew up the towers...

Santa Fe, NM USA - I dunno where I play it doesn't seem like much of a card room as it does an aquarium. I know this is different from place to place but yeah I put on my scuba gear and jump in the tank, sometimes the fish are overwhelming and you gotta piss in their water to kill them, other times you gotta bait and hook em, If I'm not swimming in an aquarium I am busy force feeding confidence into the donkey to my left, or I am hanging out to the right of a mad man, who loves to give money away. Never do I find myself with too many regs at my table, but even if there were a bunch of regs at my table they are just as bad as Sammy the Fish and Pedro the Donk.
