Just wanna ask a question: Do u prefer live poker or online poker?

I love live poker in a local casino and want to try go more (but work is a nacker).
I do love online poker (as i started playing poker on it), but it jus seems all to easy to switch off at the computer at times or b distracted by mates.

Plus i love the banter and the waitresses at casinos. :D

Online is so much quicker and I enjoy playing multiple tounaments, but there are sometings about live games particularly the personalities and reading situations, that just can't be replaced.

Both have their upsides.

Playing live is more fun, but online's fast and has endless action at pretty much any stakes.

I will always prefer the overall experience of live play. However, as stated earlier, online games offer way much more in gameplay.

I prefer live, but playing online has kept me from going broke at the local casino.

i prefer live because people tend to play smarter poker...i.e not going all in on 10 3 off or some crazy crap against aces or kings and winning....live players dont play that hand and others like it

Interesting question, I personally prefer live poker to online poker (where there's actual cards and chips). I mention cards&chips because in Ottawa, the only place as far as I know you can play live poker beside underground places, is the Casino Lac Lamy, now the funny thing about this is that even though, the ppl are right infront of you, and can talk to you and ask you questions, you actually play poker on a 42 inch wide screen T.V, so it's like playing Live yet at the same time online, which really is a bumper cause I worked so hard on perfecting the chip pickups, and I can't show them off

i much rather play live than online there are certain things that you just cannot do online like reading body language confuse people stuff like that i have found that alot more of the people you play live games drink while they play so that increases your odds of winning even more

Though question but easy to answer when you only play only on-line....;)

Sometimes I play live (home-game and incidental tournament or casino: but only tournaments and no cash games) but mostly I play on-line because of the speed of the game, it's relaxed and the choice in games....
You can play every minute, hour or whatever you want without waiting!
No visible tells and just whatever you want to do during the play:D

It really depends; Online is quicker and more convenient thus making it more profitable. However I find playing live alot more fun. I mainly play online but play live when I can.

They both have there ups and downs.
When i have the bankroll to play live,i love to go to the casino and find a good 6/12 limit game.
Online i like the amout of games offered, the convience, and the lo limit ring games they offer.

live by far... no substitute for live action... and visibly seeing your money in front of you i think helps you more psychologically opposed to online when your seeing a number

Ditto... But if I had to make a choice, it would be live.

casinovsonline.

Other than family games I do not think I would do good at live poker. I do not really enjoy the crowds. Beside that they would be able to read me like a book most likely. No, online is for me. Gl at the tables which ever is your favorite.:) However I do like the slots at casinos.

In my state we are not allowed to play no limit poker at a casino, unless it is a tournament. When gas prices were sky high, and living at least an hour from the closest casino, I needed to play for hours just to make any of my expenses for taking the trip. And when playing limit, your chances of being a winning player decrease. At least at the low limits, lol. So for me I like being able to play when I want, and for how much I want. And I only get that online. Ohh yeah, last time I played live at the casino, had a drunk idiot spill his beer on me. And the way he was playing really took the fun out of it. Average wait the last time I went to the casino to get on a table, at least 1 1/2 hours. I know it is not like this every where, but this is my typical casino run. So online poker suits me just fine.

I prefer online play for no limit, I need the multi-tables to keep my attention with the tightness and, in my opinion, less thought needed. I love live play for limit, the fish are fishier, and the reads are easier to get and more useful, and the glorious math keeps the brain occupied.

I prefer to play live but with kids it is hard to that as often as I would like to so that is why I play online a lot of times.

I used to prefer the "live" game, but last time I went to the casino, the game seemed to be way too long and I could not wait to get back home to my laptop and comfy couch. Playing online is more convenient. Plus, i like to play both - cash games and ring games, and online, I can play them any time I want or even at the same time :). The only disadvantage - can not read the body language, as in live game.

Obv. live for me. I just feel i can control myself compare to screen. I've lost about a grand online and been winning over 3k live. Big difference for me. I do play online tho, but i slowed down a lot.
