Hello guys!
Today I decided to take a break and evaluate everything I really know about poker, after many bad results on and off the tables (bad plays and bad bankroll administration), in fact, I'm just a beginner, a beginner who did not have no instruction, never start something without reading the manual, that's the most sincere tip I can give you. Anyway, I made this post with the intention of exposing my biggest mistake when starting in poker and I would like you to post your biggest mistakes, so maybe we can improve the lives of many here haha.
My biggest mistake in poker was to enter the tables online knowing no more than the strength of each hand (seriously), okay, for a recreational player, maybe you do not need to know much about this sport, but when you want to be a professional , you need to define well what to do, how to do and where to do it. Okay, what I mean is you should know where to start, I've been playing countless types of tournaments, from Sit & Go laps to mega deep hyper turbo tournaments, all at once, without mastering the strategies and plans needed for none of them and that was my biggest mistake. Today I think for a beginner, should focus on a single type of modality, I'm not talking about "Ahh, I'm going to play PLO", but what PLO? 6, 7 or 8 max? How big is the field of this tournament? Anyway, post your biggest initial mistakes here so we can laugh or cry together haha

My biggest mistake at the beginning of poker was not to tolerate the end of the session with a loss. As a result, I did shots at higher stakes. Sometimes this way I ended the game with a plus but in most cases I busted. Zero on the account was painful. One day I lost even two payouts. The next day was a moral hangover. Then I met bankroll managment and did not do such stupid shots. I now use the stop loses method. I spend a maximum of 1% of bankroll per session.

Bro, I understand you very well, it's very frustrating to play for hours and not get anything besides experience, I still have problems with bankroll, I'm trying to fix them and I should only play again when I have a solid plan for that.

My biggest mistakes often happen deep with AK. Unfortunately I have been very unlucky with this hand when it’s needed most.

You are probably having problems because you insist too much on this hand, remember that folding fits all hands.

My biggest mistake was playing too timidly when I paid to enter a tournament versus freerolls . I was playing just to cash and not making the correct plays for fear of busting. Once I realized this, I found my play improved and not only did I cash more often, but also higher.

Yeah, it's normal in a situation like this, it's like playing tournaments with buy ins larger than usual, you feel a bit stuck in the beginning haha

WSOPC

My biggest mistake I have been regretting happened at WSOPC. Last 10 player, folded to me and I got pocket 88 on the button. I raised 2,5 BB (25 BB behind) and get call from BB (40 BB behind) - long story short: we went all in on the turn but did not catch any of my outs and busted; I should have gone all in because villain flopped flush with 54s. If I have gone all in instead, he would have folded - I was so close to the first WSOPC final table and ring.

my biggest mistake in poker is being way 2 aggressive with people that only play 10% of their hands or even less. the other night i was in 3 handed with 1 guy who played everything and 1 guy that played nothing on ignitioncasino. had ace10 vs 10 10 and the other player cards were unkown. flopped a pair of 10s was slow played and i knew i should have been checking the flop

My biggest mistakes have been money management, years ago I would routinely play no limit with my entire bankroll on the table. Loved the rush but not the results

Biggest Mistake

Just Kidding. My biggest mistake is going all in after the deal, you need more than the 2 cards to tell how good a hand you have. Another mistake is folding, you need more than 2 cards to tell how bad your hand is.

You are very correct. I am now not opposed to folding but sometimes you can’t.

Insisting on the hand can cause problems, sometimes the best is to fold.

It was a sick hand, with this amount of BBs I would be hesitant to go all or raise only.

Yeah, poker is an adaptive sport and we can not always adapt in time to avoid losing chips :c

I believe every player has to win his "calling station spirit", many times I've insisted too much on bad hands too, we have to get rid of that haha

I'm still going through this, every time I have some success at low limits I feel a huge urge to play bigger limits without having an adequate bankroll for that.
