It is almost funny sometimes, The game of limit holdem is A completely different animal from the no-limt. Yet in the freeroll on stars at least half the table I'm playing at right now has the raising mentality of no- limit but I have no complaint there. If I'm dealt A good drawing hand I call the flop, If I don't catch A piece, then I go away.

Sure there are going to be hands that start well, and the raisers will catch, but for the most part they fall away pretty quickly. The betting structure is now at 100-200. THE BUTTON PUSHERS ARE ALL GOING TO BE GONE SOON and it will settle into the grind of normal limit play.

A lot of players don't like limit, but I find It A good change of pace. The advantages are obvious. If you have A decent sized chip stack you don't have to risk it all to see a flop. It also teaches me patience which is the weak part of my playing tendencies at times.:D

in limit people seem to bet just to bet so you have to play more some times

ya, when i play in limit, theres no doubt in my mind that i play way more hands than when i play no limit. the more flops you see the better off you are. but you still need to be able to understand whats good and not though

Love limit hate freerolls

I love playing limit games when it's a ring game or a private tournament but I can't stand playing freerolls sponsored by the site.It seems like it takes a million lifetimes to play the tourney and almost everyone is in the hand raising and re-raising.

I find it curious how limit players, like you say, treat the game like it's no limit, yet in a no limit game they will likely treat the game as if it were limit.

The limit HORSE freeroll on Carbon Poker is my favorite one. Today I finished 7th place and it only takes about 3 hours for 1500 people. Same as all the other Carbon freerolls because the blinds go incredibly fast. By 50 people the average stack is like 5 BBs.
