Well, it is obvious that we are either now or in very close proximity to have (for human) unbeatable poker bots which basically means oceans of money for those who have those bots.

Take a look at Libratus bot story - this is not some frustrated fellow who thinks errytings rigged so he posts he is bottin, this is university, proffessors and pros, stating oficially - yes we are tryin to do bottin and we are good at it.

Any ideas how online poker could go forward, excluding the possibilities for botting to have fair play human vs human?

My prediction is that for quite long time poker rooms will do just about nothing, well, because, they cant do anyting about bots. But you can express your different view - what could/will be done to minimize botting..?

If the truth is that I would like the poker rooms to do something about the robots and also about the programs that help the use of some players is to say that the sea of poker fair for all

Yeah i agree they need to fix this problem for the future of online poker, but wont because it would cost a couple of mill my guess. Has anyone won against the libratus bot yet?

Yep, botting could threaten online pokers not so distant future...

Couldn't the software they use on pokerstars (like chip dumping, I tried giving some Play Money, to my mom by dumping and I got an quick message saying stop)

So you would think the online sites could or Can now find bots quickly...

maybe I'm wrong...

I dont see its ocean of money. As soon as there is many bots, they will just competer to each other and loose money because of rake.
For fishes there is not much difference if they are beaten by bots or poker pros.
Poker pros are clever enough to move to other game as soon as they start loosing.
The biggest threat I see is for poker rooms. As people will loose interest to compete against bots.

Yes. I don't see this as a huge problem at the moment but in the future it could be, especially at the mid stakes. The poker sites are going to need something to stop it but it's going to be hard. Remember that bots can be made to tell people exactly what do do while a human presses the button and so it doesn't even have to be something that the bot does directly. Very sad to see the humans lose at long last. :( Hopefully something can be done...

The bots can only play heads up cash games. If your a tournament player your safe. If you play ring games your safe.

I agree with this. The poker room will have to do something quickly as they rely on people who deposit money to their accounts and then play with them - loosing or winning but the rakes are what the poker rooms care about. Once bots start playing a role in online poker humans will take their money and stop playing at all or bring their cash to casinos.

I wouldn't worry about the bots too much.

they said that about Limit Holdem, then NLHE Heads UP.

They are constantly evolving, learning and getting better. At this rate it won't be long before they are crushing 6Max Games.

Time for PLO

I'd just like to point out that bots that can beat the best players as complex as liberatus have to run on a supercomputer and use many terabytes of data. It also takes far too long to make flop and turn decisions, so it couldn't actually work in real online circumstances. Also, liberatus was only able to adapt to the players overnight when it played through all of the hands, and so even if it were adapted for 6-Max it would be bad at playing against fish :p .

With that said there are also less complex bots which can be slightly winning players at the lower levels. The sites need to do something soon
