Recently got to hear this gossip that in higher limites there are plenty more of fishes than in medium and low limits. The main argument is that there are plenty of sugar daddy's playing there who don't really care about losing a few thousands of dollars. So is level of play at medium stakes higher that at high stakes? have your say

In general your going to find much better players at higher stakes. If your playing 200NL-1000NL your going to be up against a lot of pros and solid grinders. Their aren't many soft spots in the games, especially in the American market.

What your saying has some merit, however. Sometimes in 2000-5000NL games rich fish show up and play. They are absolutely terrible and games can be built around them.

I personally would only play at high levels with a bank that allows me to do it, because it would have to measure myself and play afraid not to lose ... and say that to win you have to lose the fear of losing .. and I always lose and I have no fear

Even if there are more weak players it may not be worth ones time. The strong players will fight over the weaker ones denying you a chance at winning pots. Even worse, if you're not on their level the stronger players may decide to attack you.

Cheers!

$200 is not high stakes? Well you must be a lot richer than me! I consider that high.

There are fishy players that take shots at higher stakes. Usually they don't last long before they go bust though.

I should say not reflective of high stakes. Just like how the $10K Main Event is a softer field than many smaller buy-in games

10k Main Event is like DisneyLand for the pros. Free chips everywhere until they get sucked out and knocked out on Day 1. :(

Man if I had the $10k I'd do it and hope I could be on the featured table. I'd try and bluff Phil Ivey only to fold when he soul read hero calls me because he'll see my heavy breathing and adams apple gulp.
