re: Poker & Let's crush Tilt.
The reasoning behind tilt is what’s intriguing to me, poker has some luck, you will be beat. I have heard poker is 80% skill and 20% luck..I think that is a fair assessment. So no matter who you are you will get unlucky and lose to a bad beat. The idea anyone takes that personal is perplexing to me. When you know the facts and parameters of a game, why does anyone fool themselves into thinking it can’t happen to them, and when it does go on “tilt”?
Again, as Annie Duke says, she loves bad beats because bad beats bring recreational players and straight up gamblers...and in the end skill will make more money over luck long term.
So wtf tilt? It’s part of doing business to lose sometimes lol
Let people that can’t see the overall picture go on tilt, not people playing with an overall goal of making money long term that understand the dynamics of the game.
