Dear Cardschat friends

The COVID-19 Pandemic is been Horrible for many Latin American countries, mainly due to the lack of a proper Health system and corruption at all government levels.
for US poker players, we are limited to a diminish participation in Cash Tournaments and trying to subsist with our cash remnants from march of this year.

we do not need to be a genius to predict that our participation is going to be very affected, so our best hope is to relay on strong and friendly sites as Cardschat team. Today more than ever, we are proud and hopeful of Cardschat administrators and support to keep us participating.

Thanks and may God bless Cardschat community. :shakehand

if it is obvious that live games are prohibited!

I can't understand the message!

What COVID looks like in Panama

Dear Cardschat friends

I wish you had mentioned which LatAm Country youre in. I hope our friends who live in these countries chime in and tell us how COVID-19 has affected their country as well as what the local poker scene looks like now.

In Panama they are biased towards reopening different businesses in stages. I think about 1/2 of the businesses or more will not reopen again at all. Churches are still not allowed to assemble.

There is a curfew 7pm-5am in Chiriqui province. My friend got a $50 fine for being out after. Alcohol sales have resumed after they were suspended for the first 2 months.

I dont think the casino in Panama City is open because the city is on a strict lock down for the second time. Men and women are allowed out on alternating days of the week in 2 hours time slots (hours are based on the ending of your ID#) for necessaries only with weekends on complete lock down.

We were under similar lock down for 2 months when COVID initially happened but they decided that Chiriqui Province wouldnt be locked down a second time except for weekends.

This was emailed to me in my lawyers newsletter on May 6th:

The following payments have been suspended for the next 7 months: Mortgage, personal, commercial, and car loans, loans to small and medium sized businesses, loans to the agricultural and transportation sector, and credit card.

The Ministry of Housing, in executive Decree No. 145 suspends evictions and rental increases for up to two months after the National Emergency.

I hope everyone and not just our Lat Am friends can fill us in on what its like in your country.

Under 1000 deaths from COVID here. From what I heard about a month ago, Costa Rica deaths from COVID were only around a dozen but I would like to hear an update.

very nice to be able to get money in the middle of a crisis, the card chat freerolls a blessing, for us who play online poker it has always been our environment to be playing for hours behind a monitor, we did not resent that situation but the environment of the pandemic yes terrible for everyone, to continue learning and winning at the tables, greetings:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:
