The laugh by sammy and patrik at 5:17 is the best moment for me:rolleyes:

The thing that annoys me is that Gold seems to think it's all fun and games as long as he thinks he has the best hand. He's willing to play games and raise in the dark and expects Sammy to be ok with that, which of course any person who's not a crybaby would be ok with.. but the second he realizes he's beat, he gets completly upset and begging Sammy to cut his losses. what a tool. he deserved to lose his last 185k

So who on cc would do what sammy did and let jamie off the hook ?

doyle thought sammy was weak pre flop .

I would have gone all in if I were Sammy. He obviously had a pocket pair of face cards, and there were no face cards on the board. Jamie was just trying to play mind games with Sammy.. but you can't play mind games against someone with Pocket Aces.

AA vs KK is SICK. Man you should have seen this on FTP. It was SOOOO Crazy. It was Juanda with KK vs Dwan(durrr) AA. Durr went all in with about 150k, maybe even more. Everything looked good for dwan. BUT ON THE RIVER A KING showed up and Juanda won the pot. I swear it was the craziest thing I saw. That must have hurt.

The thing that annoys me is that Gold seems to think it's all fun and games as long as he thinks he has the best hand.
...Whats wrong with this? He has a monster of hand preflop that beats everything except AA which Farha happens to have. I think this is a great strategy because it makes it a bit harder for your opponents to read you.

the second he realizes he's beat, he gets completly upset and begging Sammy to cut his losses. what a tool. he deserved to lose his last 185k
...Actually, while Jamie might suck at playing poker-he is great at talking his way out of trouble. If you're familiar with Gold's antics at the WSOP, he was able to talk his opponents to folding or calling. Im thinking Farha had that in the back of his head because Gold was giving mixed signals-acting weak and telling Farha to check, but then saying if Farha goes all in he is going to call. The fact Jamie is saying "I'm putting you on Aces", showing he has a good read of the situation but then tells Farha he has him beat. His cold call of Farha's 100K bet probably worried Farha into thinking Jamie might have a set at this point. I think in the end, Farha thought he had the best hand but was a bit worried about the small chance Jamie had had him beat. It was already a $400K pot but would cost him another $200K to see if he had the best hand or not if he bet. I think he decided to play it safe.

So who on cc would do what sammy did and let jamie off the hook ?
...This is probably easy for you to say because you can see the hands, but try playing it from Farha's seat. You have about $200K invested into a pot with an opponent who has been verbally telling you he has you beat, you can bet him off of the hand, and has been very active. True, there is a chance you have the best hand and can win $400K from your opponent, but if you're wrong, you're down $400K yourself. That's a lot of money to lose with just a pair.
above.

The strategy that your talking about that happened before the reraise bye sammy well Im not annoyed bye that . Im bothered bye the way he act's when he wins and when he looses AND IN THIS CASE WHEN HE REALIZES HE IS BEAT ! because after sammy reraises HE IS NOT USING STRATEGY LOL !!

the second he realizes he's beat, he gets completly upset and begging Sammy to cut his losses. what a tool. he deserved to lose his last 185k

Actually it is jamie's very words that gives his hand away ! "I'm putting you on Aces", Jamie says right after sammy reraises , "you have the aces sammy?"
Gabe Kaplan and I both realized that Jamie gave his hand away . and the whole table knew also. Especially sammy and antonius (The laugh by sammy and patrik at 5:17 ) He wasn't talking himself out of trouble he was talking himself into trouble.
You can't out hustle a hustler , especially one who's better than you :)

It is easy for me because I would of had aces and jamie would do like he did and shout out you have aces sammy !!! lol and I would of chuckled inside knowing he has ks. Its very simple and I think your looking into it to much and coming up with more than what it is. Jamie got caught opening his mouth and then patheticaly tried to mix up begging sammy to check and then saying I have to call I have a monster lol..

Sammy and Antonius the very next hand had a million dallor pot and sammy was on a HEART DRAW !!! So your 400k scenario doesn't apply .
But It still doesn't matter because jamie told sammy without knowing that he jamie had ks That simple . Sammy is all about image when the cameras are on him. He looks a million times better bye letting jamie off the hook .
A MILLION TIMES BETTER.

By the way, if you watch the entire episode, even if Sammy goes all in, Jamie has money behind. It was Sammy that only had 185K left.

...It's his style. He is talkative, he tries to get opponents off of their game by doing so. And he keeps it going through out the whole hand, whether he is bluffing or has the nuts.

the second he realizes he's beat, he gets completly upset and begging Sammy to cut his losses. what a tool. he deserved to lose his last 185k

...So, you're saying that if were playing in a hand and you had aces, and i said something like 'I'm putting you on Aces.' while still calling your big bets wouldn't put warning bells in your head? It wouldn't look suspicious at all to you if I did that?

So who on cc would do what sammy did and let jamie off the hook ?

...I'm looking at it from sammy's point of view, not just as an observer who can easily see who has the better hand. Obv. if he thought he had Jamie beat he would've shoved in, right? But he didn't...why? It obviously would have been the most logical thing to do, right? So, I'm not looking to much into it, I'm just taking note of every little thing, not just Sammy has AA and Jamie has KK.

there is a chance you have the best hand and can win $400K from your opponent, but if you're wrong, you're down $400K yourself. That's a lot of money to lose with just a pair.

...What does this have to do with anything? Where talking about the Sammy vs Jamie hand, not any hand that happens after. It was a 400K scenario in the Sammy/Jamie hand. What happens in the Sammy/Antonius hand is completely irrelevant.

But It still doesn't matter because jamie told sammy without knowing that he jamie had ks That simple . Sammy is all about image when the cameras are on him. He looks a million times better bye letting jamie off the hook . A MILLION TIMES BETTER.
...LOL, no he doesn't. Do you really think Sammy checked because he was thinking

"No, I don't want 200K more money. It's a lot of money but, nah, its ok. I don't want any more money, this is enough. I like Jamie Gold. I think he is cool and I would like to have a few drinks with him and talk. He's my friend. And I don't want to take money from friends. No, I just want to look like a great guy on TV. This is all about image for me. I don't play HSP for the money, I play for the camera's and my image. I want people to watch and say 'Wow! Sammy is such a great guy by letting Jamie Gold save 200K when he had him beat! He's my favorite! I want to play just like him!' "

Yep, thats exactly what Sammy is thinking.

Give me an effin' break.

Him and Sammy are pot smoking buddies. Of course he's gonna let him off the hook. They all get paid anyway.

Gold does have that whiner thing down though, huh?

Your asking me if me and you were playing in a hand? ,hahaa.. I never played one hand with you in my life !!! How would I know lol. Sammy and jamie have played alot more hands then me and you ..Your so funny.

Wow now your putting your own words into sammy's head lol... Your good
philthy real good :)

there is a chance you have the best hand and can win $400K from your opponent, but if you're wrong, you're down $400K yourself. That's a lot of money to lose with just a pair.

Hahaha.. Its real simple .. your stating that 400k is alot of money for sammy to wager on just a pair,($400K from your opponent, but if you're wrong, you're down $400K yourself. That's a lot of money to lose with just a pair.)
So Im simply showing you a real life example from the very next hand that 400k for sammy is not alot for sammy to lose like your saying.

completely irrelevant.
lol... far from irrelevant.. That should of been pretty obvious..
talk to you later on philthy..bye
