Ladbrokes Poker Million on TV

Well it's that time of year again and we're at the live televised stages of the Poker Million. Tonight sees the 1st semi final on Sky Sports. I love this event and watch each season religiously. It's actually what got me into poker in the 1st place tbh. There's some good players in the semi's notably The Devifish, Tony G, Marty Smith etc

Qoute of the day for me was from Neil 'bad beat' Channing, when asked what would you do if you didn't play poker for a living he said: 'If I didn't play poker for a living I would probably have been either an actor, a ticket tout, a bookmaker or a con man! Luckily by playing poker I'm doing all those things!'

aye, im looking forward to this aswell, last years final was awsome even though it went on for about 5 hours, seeing every hand jsut makes it awsome somehow

Wow the semi final are ridiculously top heavy!

Semi 1: Barney Boatman, Ross Boatman, Ryan Fronda, Ciaren O'Leary, Liam Flood and Kenneth Sorensen, as well as GamblingPays, the winner of the Ladbrokes Masters

Semi 2: GoNuts, the winner of our Poker Million “Chase the Chair” promotion, will be competing in the second semi-final on Thursday 11th December against the legend that is Devilfish, wsop 2008 bracelet winner Marty Smyth, our very own Roy Brindley, former winner Donnacha O'Dea's son Eoghan, Asian Poker tour winner Tony G, World Open champion Anthony Hardy and new boy Sammy George.

Last night's 1st semi final was a great heat. Sooooo disappointed Barny Boatman did't get through, he's a great guy and a really good player, but he has some dreadful luck on the televised events. Once again he didn't do well in a coin flip, where he picked up a shit load of outs on the flop and was well ahead with a royal flush draw, but it wasn't to be.

Tonight's semi promises to be a humdinger, with the devil fish, tony g, roy the boy brindley and marty smith + others all battling it out for the remaining 3 places in the final.
