Just read this recently, just wanted to get some others' thoughts on it. Here are mine:

1. It was mostly pretty boring. I felt throughout the whole thing like I was waiting to get to the 'good part'.

2. I think some of Vorhaus' ideas may be outdated. He is a huge fan of keeping very detailed book on every player. I think the need for this has gone down sharply with the widespread use of HUD's.

3. This sort of stems from 2. He is VERY against multitabling. He doesn't seem to realize the actual purpose of multitabling: to increase profits. He simply assumes that people only multitable because they are bored, which is clearly not a valid assumption.

4. The book seemed to be pretty repetitive. It just felt like he didn't produce enough new ideas to fill a full book, so he added pointless anecdotes to add pages.

I know this is pretty critical, but I am only presenting the negative thoughts I had here. Obviously I didn't particularly like it, but there were a couple things I learned. Maybe the problem was that I was more looking for a strategy book geared towards online players, while this book was about online play.

I agree with your review. I bought it on eBay for $7, read half and hated it, then sold it on eBay for $10. At least I got $3 for my time wasted. :)

IMO Killer poker online V2 is much better. Number one had the basics and number 2 goes more into strategy and what not.

I read it too on a flight to Buffalo and i felt the same way... i was just always wondering when he would tell me something useful i guess.... I feel like the book is much like everything else i have read about poker and gave me no new information... it was very strange...
