Just ordered some chips from the US to the UK for the first time, so hoping I made the right choice with this one.

There is going to be around 3-6 players playing home games and I ordered these Milano china clays from Claysmith gaming.

https://www.claysmithgaming.com/bulk-poker-chips/milano-bulk-chips

I ordererd 5 (25 chip rolls of $1 chips)
I ordered 2 (25 chip rolls of $5 chips)
and 1 (25 chip roll of $25 chips)

Do you think I have got the balance right? On a typical night 1 player would get 25x $1 chips, 10x $5 chips and 5x $25 chips.

Does sound OK to you? Obviously the reason I ordered more $1 chips is because you use them more right?

i think maybe one more higher denomination would have been good, i have a set of chips where there are 4 colours, no amounts printed on them but we go with 10,20,50,100 for the denominations but even still with rebuys we end up running out of chips and use bottle caps as a 500 chip :D

Thanks for the reply, other than having one more higher demonination, does this look ok to you? Just for anyone else replying, here is an easier way of explaining what each player will get from the chips I ordered. There may well be chips left over which is fine.

25 x $1 chips
10x $5 chips
5x $25 chips

I'm just wondering if people should be getting more $5 or $25 chips? or will this be good as it is? The blinds will always be $1/2. I thought of getting more $1 chips because of people raising to $4 or $5 etc; and if you're in a 3 player game the blinds come around quicker etc;

is this based on an actual cash game structure or a tourney structure?

either way i reckon 10 x $1 chips would be more than enough as if someone runs out of $1 chips and a different player has loads of $1 chips they could just swap a $5 chip for 5 x $1's

Well if you're going to stick with those starting stacks you don't have enough $1 or $25 chips for 6 people. I'd get at least 1 more roll of each and probably 2 of the $1 chip.

Btw I really like the edge spots on the chips you ordered. I'm sure you'll love them.

This is simply for a home cash game, not a tournament. Are the $1 chips not enough for 5 players? There is 125 chips / by 5 people = 25 chips per head in a 5 ring game?

Forget about the 6 people I said, it would be enough for 5 correct?

I do like the look of those Milano chips. I'm from the Uk so had to pay a huge amount in shipping, but I look forward to recieving them.
