I recently won an 8 dollar buy-in satellite to the 75K Guarantee on Full tilt. The buy was worth about 160 bucks. Since I had about 30 bucks on already, do you all think it is a profitable to withdraw about 100 and leave the rest on or to keep my total bankroll on there and try and play a smart bankroll strategy. Thanks for your opinions.

it really depends on what you are looking to do. if you want to just play poker for fun and dont really care about what limit you play at then i would say take out whatever you put in and play with the rest. but if you really want to play seriously and move up the stakes and make a killing then you should keep the whole thing on and keep to good bankroll management.

You won't be able to withdraw anything if it was a satellite that you won. When you win a satellite, you will win 1 of 2 things...either a tournament ticket that will gain you entry into the tournament, or you will get Tournament $. Neither one can you withdraw from your account. The only $ that you would be able to get out would be the $30 you said you have in the account. Also, that is the only money that you would be able to use on anything but a tournament.

Ditto. But the minimum u can withdraw is $50. Sorry just wanted to say, lol.

But yeah u can only get T$ equal to $160. I'd say use that T$ to go play in lower MTT's ($5/10) or maybe the MiniFTOPS main event ($75)?

At least your FT where if you had money to get, I dont know how hard they would rape you. I have been in the process of pulling most of my money off all the smaller sites since I am spread out way to thin and would rather testing the waters on PS and FT, but Im using ewallet express and geeze if you aint made an 18.8% profit then your losing money just to get the money back to your account. and the funny thing is they make it very easy to put money into the wallet but to get the money from the wallet to your bank account requires writing an email and then 5-10 business days. WHAT ITS ALL ELECTRONIC AND IT CHARGES 10% 8.8% to put it on, and 10% to take it off. It didnt sound bad when I read it, but its not very good when youre actually doing it LOL

I try to grind the micro sattys just to get the entry($.70-36 man sng) then unregister. If you get a ticket, then play it. Depends if you want to gamble or build a bankroll.

If you feel you can do something in the 75k tourney, go for it.
If you want to establish some sort of a bankroll,
then take the tourney dollars and use it to increase your overall bank roll.
Either way congrats!

Grats on the win....but I suppose I'll be the negative nelly in the group (I'm usually good for that).

Seeing how it seems you may be playing above your br management rules already (If you are playing in $8 sat's and considering withdrawing the 'winnings' it would seem you are not playing within br rules. May be taking a leap of judgment here so sorry if I'm wrong.) leave the money in there and redefine your br guidelines. THEN build that bad boy UP! ;)

Grind out that bankroll. Unless you feel you got what it takes to take down the big one, but If you don't you'll be sitting in front of your computer like, "Why did I do that? Why didn't I grind the small stakes sngs!?"

Try not to beat your cat....

As stated above, you can't withdraw, so would definately suggest smart bankroll strategy as opposed to playing in the tourney.

T$'s can actually be converted to real $'s, but at a 5% charge.

OP you are the only one who could possibly know the answer to your question here. How would anyone else on here know what your goals or ambitions are for playing online? (ie. we don't know if your goal is to play the 10cent tourney, or to be regularly playing the Sun.$750Kguar.).

To hear that you played an $8 buyin satellite to $169.. a 1 in 20 shot with ~25% of your bankroll is just CRAZY. Unless you learn to practise some form of Bankroll Management I'd suggest withdrawling the $100 because it might be the only time you're withdrawling for awhile.

As far as just keeping $60 on your account... I guess that'd be great if you're planning on playing 2nl & $1 sng's.. but if you're planning on playing much bigger buyins than this you'd best be making a 'new plan'.

I converted 120 T$ and kept around 60 bucks on my account. Normally I do practice good bankroll strategy and I am now (only buying into cash games and sng's with 3 dollars or less) but my friend transferred me the 8 bucks and i decided to go a bit crazy  .

Why would you withdraw funds? The whole idea is to build your bankroll and move up to higher stakes games. Don't chicken out!

It boils down to one thing...do you need the money to live on? Times are tough and if you can't make rent or buy food then get it off now. If you don't need it to live on then this is a good time to start building a BR.
