Jennifer Tilly wins big at the WSOP

Jennifer Tilly became the first actress in history to take home a wsop braclet on Monday night at the ladies' hold 'em tournament. Good for her. Just shows anyone can win. And if you have a professional poker player for a significant other, more power to ya.

Yeah, I read that news item this morning on AOL. Unbelieveable! I'm not sure that being the live-in girlfriend of the Unabomber qualifies you for "anybody can win" status, but still an amazing feat. Women's poker has never been stronger, and for an amateur to take the Ladies WSOP bracelet is pretty cool. Can't wait to see that final table on the upcoming 2005 telecasts.

Not to mention that Jennifer Tilly brings a whole new dimension to the term "rack" at the poker table! :girlshit:

I've always like Jenifer Tilly and her winning a bracelet at the WSOP is pretty cool. Congrats to her. I know she has gotten excellent poker advice from her DOS - advice many of us women don't get from their DH or DSO! My DH supports my playing poker. He's not into poker. LOL

I'd really like to see her wearing her new Poker Bracelet...

and nothing else.

My definition on "anybody" is someone who is a not a poker player by profession. I would even stamp that label on Mimi Rogers or Ben Affleck (Certain celebs get a pass though).

But no doubt about it, this really makes everyone else take notice: Hollywood stars are for real and not just the chatty cathys you find on Celebrity Poker Showdown (I think I had more fun watching the Celebs vs Pros show on GSN because no one is schmoozing for the camera).

Until some other celebrity knocks her off the thrown, Tilly is the queen of the poker celebs.
