Everyone,

Is it just me or doesn't it piss you off when you are playing live and people are standing over or behind you while trying to see your whole cards. This happens a lot and it seems that no matter which seat you are in people still try to do it. I tell the floorman everytime by saying "it's raining" and he breaks it up only to have them or new people come back minutes later.

You must be referring to a tavern or bar league or a home game. All the casinos/cardrooms I have ever played at don't allow railers anywhere close enough to see the hole cards of the table players.

They also will seldom let the viewers stand that close to the player seats. If they do on a regular basis, I'd find another place to play.

The casinos in California allow people to get up right behind you. They can actually be inches from you. Of course if you complain then they'll say that they were just going to another game or walking by and got interested.

It's not a big issue at the casino here, but I can see how it'd be irritating. Just keep asking the floor to move them on, you're well within your rights to.

It should bother you, because these people could be in cahoots with other players at the table, and giving them signals. Nonetheless, you should be looking at your cards in such a way as to make it so that nobody else can see them. This is something you should do habitually.
